Ode to the Lindy

Lindy 30 would technically be able to hold the 11" iPad, but it really wouldn't fit well and it would result in it looking more like a barrel shaped bag, rather than the slouchy beauty she's supposed to be. Maybe something like a Bolide 31, or a Victoria?

That’s the point. I love Lindy’s slouchy look but at the same time want to have that loading capacity with necessities anyhow to get eg Victoria in my home boutique will be even more difficult than Lindy.

Hi everyone, have a question, I have been wanting to get a lindy but not sure about size, 26 or 30. I feel 26 woud look better on my frame, but I love the slouchy fortune cookie look of the 30. I am 5'2", which one would look better on me, would be great if I can mod shots. TIA

So excited finally got the Lindy 26! I know Clemence is a pretty hearty leather, however I live in the PNW so does anyone do anything to protect the leather in rainy weather?

I put two of these clear kitchen bags at the bottom of my Hermes bags.

Just grab one when it starts to drizzle. Great for shopping in a garden nursery to keep them clean from soil.

1. light weight
2. thin
3. clear color
4. keeps bag nice and dry

so smart, I opened up the rain jacket that came with the purse it seemed so complicated... I stuck it back in the box!

The rain jacket isn’t designed to cover :facepalm:the leather handles. And the rain skirt is short :facepalm:not covering the whole bag and if it’s ‘windy rain’ the skirt will fly up :panic:and your darling :love:treasured bags leather will get wet.

Happy you appreciate my simple idea :hugs:

My clemence Lindy 30 weathered tropical rain, snow, heat, cold, frequent travel and everything in between and it was fine. Just a wipedown with a dry cloth if you get caught in the rain (usually I tuck a small towel or handkerchief in the side pocket) so enjoy your beautiful bag.

Nice! Enjoy your Lindy. I normally bring a foldable tote that I can put in the bag to be used when it rains. A little splatter of water should be fine. I just wipe it off right away.

A friend of mine sprays down every single designer bag she gets! She has advised me to spray down my bags in the past too. I just learned recently on this forum that Hermes wants you to leave the bags alone. Thanks for all the advice!

Hi, I just can't wait any longer, so I went ahead to get a L30 in excellent condition from Fashionphile, it just arrived today, I really want to clean up the interior and exterior before use, it got dirt inside. Not spill... Just all the dust and normal usage. I bought the Cadillac cleaner and lotion, is that safe to use on this bag (TC leather). Thanks
