Ode to the Lindy

My fiance ordered a pair of Nike's Airforce One (AF1) Ridgerock, when I saw it online, I thought it might be a similar color to my Lindy 34. However, it is much darker in person, but I love wearing them together with denim shirt and black jeans.View attachment 4884918

Maybe I ask how you like the size 34? The size 34 fits me the best with the strap, but everyone around me said it’s too big. I am 168 cm talk and chubby.

Just a few days ago my SA showed me lindy 30 in etain color with ghw. I really wanted a bag in etoupe and when I saw the etain and realized it is a very nice color as well. So I took it home. I also got a lindy 34 in the second hand market. It’s mustard color in shw. I think I will mostly use the 34 for travel. However I do think the strap length is very comfy with the 34 compared to the 30.

The Lindy 34 came to me with discoloration all over the bag, but most stickers still on the metals. I think the discoloration is from black jeans. I used a leather cleaner to clean it and the color came off! I did spent more than one hour cleaning it, and conditioned it afterward.

Beautiful! Congrats on your new bag! I’m 158cm and on the chubbier side as well (UK 16), the L30 looks appropriate on me, and i personally think it works even better on your height as well. The length of the strap and all should sit just nice against your hip.

Enjoy wearing your bag! ❤️

I just measured myself and I am taller than I thought lol 170cm. The 30 actually sit above my hip. Anyway I think I mostly would hand held or use it on the crook of my arm. The size 30 look good against me when folded together like a dumpling. That’s why I thought of getting the 26, but I think it might look too small on me.

All in all, I am happy with my purchase. I hope to use it soon.

Ah i see, yes, the Lindy is so cute when its folded like a dumpling.:heart::heart: I have not got down to ordering any organizer cause it may just affect the shape when folded. For now I just dig right in from the slot to get my stuff. Wonder if that's how most people uses their Lindy. If you're wanting have a full sized collection, I would think adding a 26 along the way when the right color and hardware comes up would be nice.

Have you already owned one? I did consider picotin as one of the bag styles to try from Hermes, but since I just got a Lindy, and it sort of works the same as a picotin in the sense that both have large storage, you can just dump your stuff in and dig around for it (without the use of a organiser, I put on hold all thoughts of getting one.

What's your thoughts on Picotin?

I have both Picotin and Lindy. Lindy 30 to me fit more than Picotin 22, and Lindy 26 definitely fit more than picotin 18. Picotin 18 can be very cute and lady like if you add a twilly. 22 is more casual. And much easier to use than Lindy. Picotin also have a much lower price point, if you want to play around with colors I suggest Picotin. Lindy have a unique shape and is more secure.

I'm starting to understand why one desires to own multiples birkins/kellys/lindy in various colors; Hermes does their colors really well!

My Rose Jaipur looks red/pink/coral under certain lightings and different times of the day. She's pictured here looking slightly redder in the evening. I can never capture her true color. Or maybe I need a new phone.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Oh yes, you're right, can play with the colors for Picotin. I'll probably try on a Picotin if there is one available at the boutique.

yes give it a try. I actually didn’t like picotin that much before I got it. After using it I appreciate it much more. I first thought the 18 would be too small for me, but after trying I found it to suit me well. I have to drew up for the picotin 18 tho, it doesn’t look casual on me.
