pt, i have the dalva too, but do not own a lift. I think it is one of hs unique pieces, and love the way the gold tip can be worn either on top or bottom. As you know i also have heavy native american silver pieces too. I would say that i can wear the dalva a bit more because of its simplicity and minimal form. If you choose a horn that is deeper hued it would be a rich look even more stunning than the lift imo. I think your mom would love a gift from her daughter no matter what, if my dd gave me a piece like this i would treasure it. Hugs and what a thoughtful daughter you are my friend.

Here is a quick pic with dalva and concours dd shawl that i received for mothers day.:hugs:

happy mother's day!!!

Gorgeous! Love the pop of yellow!

Lucky you, this is going to be wonderful on, congratulations

Thanks SugarMama and Papertiger! I wore out it to lunch today and felt super snazzy. DH was impressed, he was initially skeptical until I put it on and then thought it looked great. He was also confused about the price, I had to explain to him that this was not a "plastic necklace" :p

Papertiger, the Dalva is absolutely lightweight—I've never noticed a difference between them in that regard. With the center is thicker than the Lift, it's remains a thin piece. I've never taken notice of that either. It's actually the easiest piece of jewelry I own, hands down.

I am so thrilled you think so. Thanks for all the informative arabesques :flowers:

Thank you so much, you are the sweetest.

I have to say the modelling shots have clinched the deal, Lanit you look radiant

Thanks again everyone who replied, this is the wonder of tpf. I think my mind is set LOL, the reviews have been more than positive and it sounds like a great replacement for my mother, I'm excited now If I buy it from H.com I can send it straight to her :yahoo:

Happy Mother's day all!

ForeverinPink - such a gorgeous array of colors - and KWYM about guys - they don't quite get it when it comes to coated horn pieces. My DH never knew that my two horn pendants were from H. He thought I might have picked it up from some craft artisan faires LOL. You will enjoy wearing this piece all year round. Please model it for us when you get a chance! We are like a secret society of H horn lovers and can spot these pieces when being worn.

Thanks Lanit, I'll post a mod shot once I get cleaned up (just got back from the gym). It's a society I'm definitely proud to join, and definitely under-the-radar secret, I don't think I've ever seen any IRL. I'm officially hooked though, and next have my eye on a Kali ;)

ForeverInPink, This is OUTSTANDING! I love your necklace!! Beautifully paired with your scarf. Happy Mother's Day! You look fantastic!

Aw, thanks Ladybaga, I've long been a fan of your mod shots too :blushing:

Looks terrifiic with your scarf.

Thanks Hermesaddictt, that's what I love about H, everything goes so well together even if you didn't intend it that way!

Hi guys

I only have my darling horn Rocaille Peigne but I hardly ever wear pendants, even necklaces so I need your advice.

My mum ruined her beloved gold lift pendant and has never been able to find a replacement. What do people think of the Dalva? There is a gold one on Europe H.com ATM

Can anyone compare size wise?

and/or

If you have a Lift, would you think Dalvey was a worthy enough comparison gift or would you be hot-footing it down to you local H for a credit note?

Hi Papertiger Last time we met you were buying your ma an H present , how thoughtful and generous you are !
I find the Dalva pendant easy and light to wear . The gold colour is not too full ,on and it looks nicest on a plain low neck sweater or t shirt . Must get it out again !

Ok here we go, I'm a total amateur when it comes to selfies (DH and son are out grocery shopping for Mother's Day dinner), and this is my first ever tPF mod shot!

oops - here's one that shows the Dalva a bit more....

Beautiful new DD Concours and the Dalva sets it off to perfection.
Thank you for pointing out that the D can be worn upside down .... never occurred to me and I can't wait to try :D
