It took forever for me to accept the aesthetic of myself wearing a horn pendant: much as I liked the look on others I felt like a dibby delegate wearing a nametag!

I'm often like this, which is why I understood the dilemna of Bond7girl . Sometimes the aesthetic is so off for me I never go there [ never went for a mullet or shoulder pads in the 80s ! ]

This time I made it in the end , and here is my much worn Dalvy pendant .

Forgive the weird pictures , the light was dim and the mirror is old.....[my excuse]

...and so now I'll comment on the Dalvy -- :woohoo: it's perfect on you!! I agree with arabesques, as usual, some H things just don't work on me -- the Lift looks great, but the Isthme, not so much. But when you have the right one, as I think you do here,:love::love:

Hi Stelton,
Yours looks exactly like mine purchased from the H boutique last year.

froufrou - I already complimented on the lovely Eperon mousse - you look fabulous with the Dalvy! Mine is a darker horn, and is considered a dressier pendant for me. It is mysterious, and maybe the gold also makes it more elegant. I need to play with it more so it gets more necktime! Enjoy!

Lanit Thanks so much for Dalvy love! I've never regretted buying it , and to be honest throw it on for ease when I want a simple uncluttered look .
Funnily enough although it's partly gold I don't read it as dressy in the sense that I find the Farandole dressy . I'm the first person to feel over-dressy , yet this one seems low key somehow.

frou frou, thank you so much for posting. I love seeing your Dalvy on you, and you wear it beautifully! And I think you were quite right to skip a mullet, and enormous shoulder pads in the 80s...yikes! ;) I wasn't sold on those, either!

Thanks Etoile You are up there for me with your horn wearing , I had to figure out that if you all looked great in these then they can't look terrible on me . Now I have my eye in, maybe a little Lift?

It looks beautiful on you, Frou Frou—just perfect. And with the flowing mousseline, the whole effect is dashing.

Statement jewelry can have such an effect that it's necessary to make sure the piece can also be "thrown" on, otherwise it could never be chic. I went back 3 times to Madison H to try on my earrings. 3 times! Some things at H work for me; others don't (the CDC made MP roll his eyes when I tried it on). This definitely works on you.

Oh Arabesques I'm so with you here darling, but don't expect a man to understand ! So many times I've loved something but seeing it 2 or 3 times I start to feel like I couldn't care less about it , and I 'm so glad I didn't jump .
And yes to needing to throw something on , though for me it's a time thing as I'm forever rushing...

textilegirl Have you tried the Dalvy? I would imagine it would work really well for you . Yes, the Lift is so pretty and all those yummy colours .
I noticed in H they've gone for almost neon green and pink which would be hard for me to pull off , but a nice poudre or dusky red , hmmm....

Dear frou frou, Thank you, so nice of you! I find them very easy to wear, and I think they're universally flattering. The Lift is the one I immediately gravitated to, as I love the center carving. Its naturalistic feeling reminds me of both a honeycomb, and a turtle shell. :smile1: The spring colors being offered do seem bright (across Hermes departments). I'm drawn to tropical colors, but I know brights aren't for everyone. I love neutrals as well, and would love if they offered the Lift in several different shades of brown lacquer! My guess is that their fall color palette will bring some more subdued shades, that you may like better. I think you'd look wonderful in a Lift! In the meanwhile, enjoy your beautiful Dalvy.

Hello! Just popping in again, to post some recent ensembles, with my green Lift pendant. So far, I love it with both somber, and tropical colors. The last photo, is for D Lee, who asked about wearing MaiTai's bangles, with Hermes horn pendants. ;) And regarding the last photo, I'd love to find a pochette with brown and green, to complete this outfit. Any ideas?

Oh! What a lovely Lift ! U wear it so well. Seeing the last photo, I think it chic to wear Lift with MT's bangle. But sadly, for my xxs wrist, they've only got noir. Still waiting for other colors!

Thanks so much, D Lee, and so glad you enjoyed seeing it! :smile1: Oh my...you have tiny wrists! Hoping MaiTai receives some more in your size, soon.

Beautiful! I love green!
The second picture is spectacular. I love how you tied in the sweater and horn colors with the twillies. Tres chic!
