This may have been discussed in other threads on TPF, but....

... I just randomly discovered that my newly acquired LV Toiletry 26 fits like.a.glove in my Evelyne 29. :amazed: Even better than the Evelyne-specific organizer I purchased earlier this year (in fact, that organizer pushes a little too much on the sides for my liking, as the leather was beginning to bulge out). I jumped up and down and squealed like a toddler; what a great pair! :tup:

Hello, does anyone have any issues with the strap snapping off at the clip when they wear their evive pm? I bought one for my mom and she is having this issue. The bag is not even a month old. Should I talk to my SA about this or does this happen with anyone else? Thanks so much!

I had the same problem with my GM. Happened twice in the first couple of weeks I had it. I was able to catch it by the strap before it fell. The 3rd time, it fell to the ground and got scuffed up. I decided three strikes and out, lol. I took it back to the boutique. That was at the end of March and they sent it to NY to look at. My SA said NY couldn't find any issues but they sent it to Paris for hardware replacement and touch-up. My estimated date for pick up is end of September. A long wait, but at least they're fixing it. I find it interesting that more people are mentioning that it's a problem. On the one hand, I'm glad I'm not crazy, on the other hand I kinda expected better quality control from the get go. I do wonder if their willingness to fix it is because others have also complained to them.

Introducing Big A Bag otherwise known to me as Babs in Deep Blue. I have been searching the forum for days now looking for modeling photos of the Evelyn TGM (40). Most of the photos I could locate were in the Space for guys modeling their Hermes thread. I did find a couple pictures of famous women in airports with them and yes they are huge. The Evelyne is by far my most used bag. They are just so easy to throw over your shoulder and crossbody that I have a hard time switching to anything else at this point in my life.

My dilemma started quite a while ago. I watch my toddler grandson at least once a week, sometimes as much as three. Given that my youngest is 22 and oldest 32 I had forgotten how much stuff you have to carry for them. Even my Evelyne 33's are too small to fit everything. I anticipate that Fall will have me carrying a small jacket for him as well. So that is when I started looking for something larger to accommodate everything we need on our outings. The TGM is perfect for me. I got the idea when I saw a mom in Hermes one day carrying not only a TGM but a diaper bag and a regular size purse as well. That's way too much for me, but it still looked great on her. Not for everyone I know but I do love this bag so much already. No doubt it will also come in very handy for travel when my husband finally decides to retire. This will be my last bag for the foreseeable future. So I guess I decided to "go big" ;)

P.S. I absolutely love the slouch :heart:

Try clipping the strap so that the latch for the clip faces inward toward the opening of the bag. This is always the rule with snaps - snaps face inward so that something cannot push them open such as brushing against a door or the sleeve of your jacket. See if that helps.

The fold is common as the leather stretches.
As for the strap, the adjustable strap was introduced on later versions of the Evelyne, I think the III.

I’ve been trying to get my hands on a Evelyn 16 in the UK Hermes stores and online however it seems impossible :(

Does anyone have any information on how to get one? Or if hermes international sites ship to the UK?
