Excellent! Thank you! I’m 5’10” tall. For me, when companies say their bags are crossbody, I laugh. I need 24”-25” drops. Thank you so much!!!!!

I'm 5'7" and have found myself frustrated with what some designers call crossbody. I need 22-24" depending on the style of the bag, and what I'm wearing (especially with a bulky, winter coat). But it seems like anything longer than 16" is being called crossbody these days. This is why the Evelyne has ruined me for other crossbody bags. I can find the perfect length for whatever my need on a given day. My other crossbody bags now all have removable straps, so I can play with different lengths if I need to.

Just to add: I am 5'10" with a long torso and the PM is fine for me crossbody. I don't even have it on the longest setting. otoh I tried the TPM and it was just too short for me with the non-adjustable strap.

I tried a TPM, too, and it was too short. I’m beginning to think there needs to be a forum for tall people to talk about clothes and crossbody handbags that work for our frames.

Hi! I’m also new to Hermes - only got into the brand late last year (2020) amidst the lockdowns - but let me share the factors I considered when buying my Evie.

I was also choosing among 3 colours - etoupe, etain, and gold. I based my decision on:

Wardrobe - consider the colours of your clothing and how the bag colour will compliment and match your clothes.

Current bag collection - I already have black and very dark brown bags. I have a light taupe one (Celine taupe) which differs greatly from etoupe. I don’t have any grey ones. You have orange among your choices so perhaps you have neutral coloured bags and wish to add some pop of colour?

Usage - How do you plan to use the bag? Is it for work/the office, a daily beater bag, for travel, errands, etc. Which colour would suit all the types of activities you plan to use the bag for?

I’m not sure if it’s feasible for you to see the colours in person at the store, as trying them out in person could help you decide as well. I was lucky to be able to visit a store in between lockdowns. They didn’t have etain in stock, but I was able to try both the etoupe and gold. In the end, I went with etoupe. Hope this helps you in some way with deciding.

Those are 3 popular colors. It depends on your wardrobe.

my wardrobe is made up mostly of blacks and all Of my bags are black except for the few LV monogram range .

so I think any of these 3 colours would complement my existing collection haha.. plan to go try out in person, but knowing what an indecisive person I am on colours, it's going to be nerve wrecking hahahah

I have a PM Evelyne in etain and gold. I love them both and they’re both very different. My etain gets used more than the gold, honestly, though the gold is a happy color and more of a pop. I think you can’t go wrong with the gold or etoupe, both are beautiful. As for orange, that all depends on the look you’re going for since it’s not a neutral color. Super pretty though!

This is the size 29. I think gold would look awesome with a mostly black wardrobe, but go with what you are most comfortable and/or in love with

I bought an Evelyne PM from the Hermes online store a few days ago as a gift for my mom and it came today and just unboxed it and have to say I’m pretty upset about all the issues I was able to spot. A stitch in front is slightly but noticeably discolored, there is a deep wrinkle in front, there is uneven stitching everywhere on the bag but it’s most noticeable on the two corners in the back where one side is very clearly higher than the other side.

I called customer service to let them know about all these issues and to ask for an exchange and they told me to send them an email with pictures. Hope the eventual replacement will be pristine.

It's weird to reply to my own message -
I purchased the Senamon non felt Organizer with zipper in purple (to match my Evelyne PM in raisin) and I am very happy about this item.
It gives some structure to the bag without being too rigid and the compartments help a lot in keeping the bag organized and hopefully in avoiding accidents like the hand sanitizer leak.
The organizer was purchased directly from the Senamon website (cheaper than using Etsy as intermediary). It was shipped promptly using UPS and delivery was free of charge.

I also ordered my organizer for my Evelyn GM from Senamon! Love it! It is also with a zip! I don’t wanna to spend that much on an organizer like Samorga and i also don’t wanna to wait for 2 months or something! The quality of Senamon is super!
