Looking for advice again. I exchanged the Evelyne GM for the PM due to shoulder discomfort when wearing crossbody. I'm still within the exchange window and still waffling between the two sizes. The PM is a really tight fit with my daily essentials. I took everything out and put her back in the box without using her even once. I wanted Evie as my everyday bag, but I'm afraid the PM just won't work and she'll stay in the box more often than not. Anyone had a similar issue with the GM but kept it anyway and got used to the weight, etc? Or should I just give up on the GM?

Since you said that you had physical discomfort with the GM, I think you should put that size out of your mind.
Maybe the Evelyne is not the right style for you?
I have the PM and I think that is even borderline heavy for me. So I would never go to the GM, due to weight. I have some leather Coach totes and bags from the 90s and I can't believe I used to carry those on a regular basis. They are heavy! If I have a lot to carry, I use a Longchamp tote. It's the only thing I can tolerate in terms of weight.
Hey lovelies! I am sorry to interrupt the discussion, but I am new to Hermes. But I would really like to start with Evelyne (because it is also my name hehe!) and even though I think I would be fond of an Herbag or a GP, I truly believe it would be a meaningful start if I start with Evelyne 
that is why I am looking for the tpm. I live in Europe with easy access to stores in France and Switzerland. How do you recommend trying to find one? Through constantly trying in the website or going in Lyon (it is two hours by car). Thank you for the inputs, wish you a good 2021!

From reading a lot of posts in this forum... While not impossible, it’s pretty difficult to order a TPM off the website (that is, checking multiple times a day and even then, clicking fast if you ever find one and hoping the order doesn’t get cancelled on H’s buggy website!).I was in Paris in July and when I asked the Sèvres store (their pop-up store due to construction at the original), they had multiple ones for me to choose from. Maybe the lack of tourists is causing some boutiques in France to have more inventory?
I hope you don’t mind me asking you about the newer Evelyne bag. I haven’t looked at the Evelyne in a couple of years- I‘ve been wondering if Hermès shortened the pm/gm strap length. It used to be very long. Do you happen to know if it can be as long as 25”, for crossbody wear?

Just before Christmas I managed to snatch an anemone TPM from h.com, after weeks of trying several times a day. My local store didn’t even want to put me on the waiting list because they have such big interest already...However, I did also try h.fr and it seemed significantly easier to buy a TMP there. I discover however that the French site doesn’t ship to my country. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem for you.
Hi Sourisbrune. I don't know if this will help you but I have a 2018 Evelyne GM that came with an adjustable strap: the shortest length is 36” and the longest is 52” (measurements include the hardware clasps). I also have a much older Evelyne GM that came with an unadjustable strap length of 34”.

Hi, my local Hermès store is in Lyon. I purchased an Evelyne on the website and I had it delivered to the Lyon boutique where I was able to compare different sizes and colours. I could have exchanged it straight away had I found another colour I liked more. In the end I decided to keep my Evelyne in raisin. The review of my experience with this store is somewhere on this forum.
