Just gathering some opinions from the H scarf aficionados.. I tried on Les Douze Léopards in 140cm CSGM a couple months ago. I waited too long (years) and the CSGM's have gone up in price and now that I have slown down in shopping...I am reluctant to pull the trigger. I do like the triangle/drape look, but not loving any of the menswear losange options. I see H has the giant triangles now. Any takers if they are are good alternative to the CSGMs? Thanks!

It seems like Hermes has a lot more giant triangles for the 2023/24 FW season-- and some lovely designs too! I haven't tried any on yet for this season, but I feel like it would give a similar look, with the same warmth, but less bulk than the 140s (single layer instead of double).

I LOVE this on you. Could be your very convincing styling. It’s fresh and youthful and really suits you.

I donl't have any these size but I would buy one - seems less bulky and nice size especially for certain times of the year.

I find the CSGMs a bit more versatile since I use them as shawls. I don't own any triangles though. I think the price difference is what makes me hesitate on getting triangles - 100 triangle vs full square 140. At least with a 140 you can fold it into a triangle. :)

I do think the Leopards scarf looks good on you!

Not for me. Too thin for shawls, good only as cowboy-style scarf. While I love the pattern of the only triangle I have, I will not buy more and stick to my CGSM.
Thank you everyone for the kind feedback, pointers, and compliments! If I do go with a CSGM, the 12 Léopards is my favourite thus far. May need to get my butt into the store again to play with the GT's... the fun is in the hunt! I didnt think about the single vs double layer thickness and of course, the price-for-what-you-get factor. Then again, compared to Loro Piana or Brunello Cuccinelli scarves and stoles at similar price points, H feels like you bought an exquisite piece of wearable art and not just "a scarf". So I will tell my dear hubby...

Absolutely, a "wearable piece of art." This is how I feel about my H scarves and shawls. Show him the pic of you in this shawl, and he will want to buy you these for every occasion! (My DH prefers the shawls to the scarves.)

I recently bought my first GT and initially found it a bit difficult to style compared to the 140. The single layer material at the edges makes it a bit floppy and messy when draped cowboy style. Then l saw on the Hermes in action thread that it can be folded into half and draped nicely, and voila, now l like it lots. Less voluminous and suitable for less cold weather

Hello shawl lovers! Does anyone happen to have the promenade du matin bandana shawl in the bleu azur colorway?
I've been eyeing it but the H website has photos that seem to show it as a vibrant cobalt blue in one instance and more of a muted blue in another. Does anyone know which is truer to life?

I don't own or haven't seen it in person, but from my experience, the model pictures are closer to the colour than the flat pics. My SA also told me that she recommends looking at the model pics and the close-ups for a more accurate representation of the colour (not necessarily MOST accurate, but MORE accurate)...

I hope you were able to make up your mind. I have a strong preference for 140 CSGMs as I use them year round as shawls (either cowboy knot, spread out over my shoulers or loosely wraped around my neck if wearing overcoat). If you like to experiment with knots and tie the scarf into various concossions, then the triangles will be great (you have less of the fabric to deal with). I didn't like triangles for me - I felt it was too little fabric, it was too thin, and I felt like trangles looked odd - almost like someone cut half off the square (aka Alice Shirtley Zebra Pegasus which had a leg of zebra, but no zebra), and not a stand alone design. I think H remedied it where some of triangles started to have their own stand alone designs within the triangle (not half of whatever). I would be curious to hear from those that wear the triangles how they hold their own during wear and use - and if they maintain their shape with time (just in next they have a masterpiece designs in a trangle format next season:)
As other pointed out before me, you look GREAT in leopards - I hope you pulled the trigger. It looks great with jeans!

I am also hesitant buying a GT because I am not sure how to drape it other than the cowboy knot. Would you mind to share some mod shots? :)

Sorry not the best pic but something like this? Or you could just leave the ends hanging, without knotting. Here l have folded the triangle into half so it is shorter when draped
