i think your observations are very interesting,
bjostone! i'm certainly no expert on h pinks either - for years i only wore blues....
In the last year or so it does seem that there have been more pinks that are either brighter fuchsia or more coral, than truly pink? I don't see that many shawls in person so would love to hear more from anyone interested.
Here's an old thread from 2008 with a bunch of various pinks:
http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes-shopping/09-22-08-cashmere-shawls-pics-my-sa-359953.html
for fun here's a collage of 'pink' cashmere shawls that i had pics of, some more successful than others. Cooler, fuchsia pinks don't work, nor do the slightly grayed or browned old rose pinks.
****note, i never had all of these at once, it was a gradual process as i figured out what worked.***
row 1:
sorry, the pale baby pink kachinas came up twice to balance out the grid! But it's a favorite.

Tendresse feline - very warm, peachy pink.
Marwari - a bit dull. Old rose pink.
Les danses des indiens - soft warm pink, incredibly flattering.
Cavalcadour - really flattering pink coral, very close to rose jaipur
row 2:
tropiques - great deeper coral pink.
Grands fonds - towards fuchsia for the border, bougainvillea warm pink interior makes it work. (plus turquoise. :d)
paperoles - true pinky pink.
Kente - pink with some lavender.
La femme aux semelles du vent - border old rose with a touch of brown in it? Pretty peony pink in the border.
row 3:
carre en carres - left section is bougainvillea pink again, pale rose pink for the bdeg interior.
Lujo criollo - stronger bright fuchsia pinks.
Marwari - rose indien, intense and fuchsia.
Parures des maharajas - same.
