Fabulous, f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!

I am with you... I have so many bright shawls and nothing soft. That is why I'm dying to see this one you have! If this is soft aqua marine...quasi lagon... I think I will get it bc it's soooo diff than anything I usually go for but the colors draw me in so much. It has been calling for me since day one. BUT I also love the cw BBC got and her modeling pic has made me crazy!!! SO, it is between these two.... I have nothing similar. WWLD??? (what would Lanit do? hahahaah)

I can't decide, this is too hard!!!

Here you go! Hope it helps! I love the colors in this shawl.

What a perfect pair, Karen!

I think your observations are very interesting, bjostone! I'm certainly no expert on H pinks either - for years I only wore blues....

In the last year or so it does seem that there have been more pinks that are either brighter fuchsia or more coral, than truly pink? I don't see that many shawls in person so would love to hear more from anyone interested.

Here's an old thread from 2008 with a bunch of various pinks:

For fun here's a collage of 'pink' cashmere shawls that I had pics of, some more successful than others. Cooler, fuchsia pinks don't work, nor do the slightly grayed or browned old rose pinks.

Row 1:
Sorry, the pale baby pink Kachinas came up twice to balance out the grid! But it's a favorite. :smile1:
Tendresse Feline - very warm, peachy pink.
Marwari - a bit dull. old rose pink.
Les Danses des Indiens - soft warm pink, incredibly flattering.
Cavalcadour - really flattering pink coral, very close to Rose Jaipur

Row 2:
Tropiques - great deeper coral pink.
Grands Fonds - towards fuchsia for the border, Bougainvillea warm pink interior makes it work. (plus turquoise. :D)
Paperoles - true pinky pink.
Kente - pink with some lavender.
La Femme aux Semelles du Vent - border old rose with a touch of brown in it? Pretty peony pink in the border.

Row 3:
Carre en Carres - left section is Bougainvillea pink again, pale rose pink for the BdeG interior.
Lujo Criollo - stronger bright fuchsia pinks.
Marwari - Rose Indien, intense and fuchsia.
Parures des Maharajas - same.

Woah Nelly!!! pierina, you closet pink lover, you! These are fantastic and that pink Paperoles is new to my eyes, I haven't seen this cw before, only Fuschia. I completely adore yours. Carre en Carres in that cw is a huge grail of mine.
You sure have some beauties in your collection

so BRILL - what a gorgeous pinky collection, pierina!

thank you for the pics and titles - I just fainted from all major YUM factor.

OK, just curious...

anyone here just buy the purple Tohu Bohu off ebay? (not me, I have it)...maybe IF?? (fingers crossed)

if so, congrats in advance, it's a gorgeous colorway.

Thank you, thank you ladies, but they are not STILL all mine, not at all!

I only have 5 of the 14 now. Not being a regular pink wearer it took me some time to figure out what worked, and it took a while to release some that didn't do me any favors. The shawls I have now are Kachinas, Cavalcadour, Tropiques, Danses, and Grands Fonds. The only bright pink is the GF and that works because the central color is so good.

Sorry BritAbroad, no Paperoles or Carre en Carres, no Marwaris for me - they just looked better in the box than on me. :-)

SS2014 definitely has more pastels than we've ever seen and I have an eye out for the yummy pink Coup de Fouet!!

textilegirl, that would be a great idea to have a pictures only thread for each season.

I was keeping my fingers crossed it went my dear I_F's way!
Did you see the recent Cherise cw TB CSGM listed? I bid over $3,000 and still did not win it, alas :crybaby:

You have cultivated the art of what looks good on you, pierina, you never look anything less that striking.
I'm also stalking Coup de Fouet in both pink cws, isn't it a beauty?
I agree, a seasonal pic-only thread (with ref #s) would be so helpful, especially because I'm still trying to hunt CSGMs from seasons past and that would have been a most helpful resource.

No sweet sweet ladies... I did not bid on the purple TB. I just can't stomache that price so I doubt I will ever have a grail like TB unless it's rereleased one day or I totally LUCK OUT! Sadly I saw one listed on EBay about a year ago for $1099 from ShopFrance and I hesitated bc I had just purchased a few shawls... I believe Docride bought it. That was my one and only regret that I won't soon forget =( .... But glad it went to a PFer....

By the way, congrats on the stunning combo!!!! Can't wait to be your twin Karen!!!!!!!!!

Happy to help (enable!)you make the decision! The pops of soft vert anis/chartreuse in it complement the blues very well and add a little wow. It's like a Mediterranean/Caribbean sea with all it's subtle blue lagoon hues against a soft white background. Perfect with the lagon and white enamel clic!! :woohoo:

And perfect colors for Florida! What a gorgeous kitty you have!

Thanks so much, BritAbroad! Not having unlimited funds helps too. ;)

Gorgeous collage of pink paradise, pierina! Many thanks for sharing. I love these sort of posts, as they are so wonderful for reference. So generous of you to compose it for us!

And I agree, I'd love a pictures only thread for each season's scarves. Also, asking everyone to note pertinent info for new releases, as available (full scarf name, item number, colorway name and number) would allow one to use the search function much more effectively.

I am a pink lover, too. Thank you, pierina for this beautiful collage. The pink on Brides de Gala in CenC is very pretty. I hope you still have a Marwari :smile1:
We are snowed in and I am feeding the little birdies - we just counted 20 Robins :smile1: plus all the other feathered friends. The geese are circling looking for food, too.
