Am excited to join this club today instead of just stalking it. A black Bolide 31 with gold hard ware. And restaurants opened today in my city, so I am also excited to take it out right away!

One question- all four corners have smoothed out leather. Is this normal? Normally, that is a sign of wear, but I guess this is on purpose (?) since I am 99% it's not a return (the box was shrink wrapped and the hard ware still had sticker protection).

With regards to the corners, where the leather is stretched/shaped you’ll find that the grain evens out which is totally normal, it’s just the leather in tension.

Also, after going through many many many (but not all) posts in this thread, I noticed very little hot stamping on the Bolide. Is there a reason barely anyone does this?

Are any of you using another strap for your Bolides than the one that comes with the bag? I'm considering buying a wider canvas strap to alternate with to be able to give it a more casual look sometimes. Do you have any pictures of your bags with other straps? Or with fun accessories? Would love to see them!

I posted this a while back but here she is (30 1923) with a Prada strap and a poodle.


I also have various wide H and Mautto straps that I use with her and Kellys - they give a much more casual vibe and allow crossbody wearing.
