Ode to Silver

Licol also comes in a necklace, a pendant, and earrings (also a ring, but the ring lacks the silver chain motif-- it's just the paisley). Fellow member Arabesques and I both have the earrings, and they are GLORIOUS-- definitely check those out if you're attracted to the design. Here's a thread with some pictures (including modeling pics-- Arabesques' are further in the thread and worth paging through to find, because they're better than mine):

Thanks for the report on the bracelet-- maybe this will help kill my fantasies of a full set from this line. I still dream of the matching necklace, however. So beautiful... but so pricey!

Wonderful reveal and friendship calexandre! I had thought about the earrings sometime after I left the boutique. Would definitely try them on if I saw them in the boutique--which I'm sure I will-as I like dangly earrings. It's good to know that there is a ring with a paisley shape. The rings tend to be affordable even if nothing else is! And, you're right, that licol collection is ratcheting the price point for H silver upwards and beyond! The larger pieces of the collection are basically a trade-off for a bag--even a small bag--at the current high prices.

Am glad you reported this market intell.

I feel exactly the same way about the necklace, and made exactly the same comparison (necklace vs. bag) in my mind!

The earrings, at less than the price of a GM shawl, were a bit easier to justify. I would so get the ring too if it had looked right on my fingers. Instead I'm thinking about getting the Jumbo scarf ring, which has a similar loop-shape-- it's not sterling, but it'll coordinate well with the shape of the earrings on scarf-days!

Oh that pendant . . . I still think about it. :girlsigh:

You must post a mod shot when you have the scarf ring together with the earrings. I would really like to see how the ensemble goes together--would give me some ideas!

I bought the earrings thanks to your reveal! You're right, they are fantastic. The pendant sounds nice as well; might have to ask my SA about it. I really love the waterfall necklace, but I can think of nothing in my wardrobe that I could wear it with.

I love Licol line. It's soooo gorgeous. I was able to get bracelet and necklace and get tons of compliments on both. So if you guys considering those pieces they are great. At madison boutique I also saw Licol bracelet in diamonds! ;-)

Multiple or heavy bracelets never bother me anymore. It's a matter of wrist strength. A strong wrist helps prevent stuff like carpel tunnel syndrome, too. I got accustomed to lifting a 10lb (can start smaller) weight for 10-20 reps. A small weight like this is inexpensive.

I certainly will! I'm hoping the Heathrow boutique might have the scarf ring when I pass through this week. :smile1:

I'm so happy you have the earrings too, ouija board! I've been wearing my pair almost as much as my Farandole, which is saying something.

Maybe you should get the necklace and plan a new wardrobe around it. :graucho:

panthere55, you lucky lady! I join the request for a modeling shot. :smile1: Arabesques and I were told that the necklace, too, came in a diamond-studded version, which had very quickly sold at Madison! :faint:
