Ode to Silver

It happened to me aswell with one of my Chaine d'Ancre bracelets: it usually happens when the bracelet is a bit loose..... I had one of the links taken off (it was 1 link longer than my other ones) and now it's fine. It also happened to me years ago with a Dodo Pomellato gold bracelet which had the same togle closure, unfortunately I lost it and only noticed it wasn't on my wrist when I got back home:sad:
So sorry that you lost your Dodo Pomellato bracelet :( I once lost a bracelet my hubby had bought me and that was heartbreaking...
You are probably right about it being a bit loose. Great suggestion! :urock: I now wear mine closer to my heart in my stack instead of closer to my finger tips. I hope this would fix the issue for me.

I tried on a great bracelet the other day that was part hollow silver pieces and part many strands of silver chain. About $3500 or so. It would have come home with me if I were not waiting for a bag. (my new austerity program lol) If you haven't seen it, look for it -- gorgeous and cool looking.

Was the hollow part a silver outline of a paisley shape?

I tried it on at Madison a short time ago. I originally saw it at the NM boutique but it was too small for me and they sell just what comes in, no ordering. So, I was at Madison a week later. I am not exactly sure of the spelling but I believe it is called the Licole. Spoken, it sounds just like l'ecole but it's not that word. I was crazy about the paisley shape.

OK, the one at Madison, which I believe was a large, couldn't be fastened on me. I have a 7 inch wrist so that was one itty-bitty large IMHO. There's a tiny knob which is depressed when a tube with a small hole on top is passed over it. The knob fits into the hold and holds the bracelet shut. I guess you could call it a tube clasp. Couldn't get that sucker to fasten.

I was immediately concerned about that little knob b/c I once owned a Torsade Geant which was a really chunky heavy bracelet which also relied on a little knob. Well, little knob fell off. So I returned it. (Had to have a fit to get them to take it back but it was a design flaw. The chunky part was too heavy for a tiny knob). This Licole also had a tiny knob and I was concerned that if I managed to suck in my wrist, so to speak, to get the bracelet on, the knob might eventually fall off from the strain and there goes the bracelet, bang! on the floor or the street. I have not had any trouble with toggle closures or with other H clasps. So, I passed on the Licole.

But the Licole design with the paisley was really cool and I do believe paisleys are coming back. I thought it was somewhat over $4K but you may be right that it's around $3.5K. The Licole is part of the new (A/W, I suppose) collection. Maybe other paisley items will be part of the collection as well so I can get something.

If the bracelet fits you well, you might not have the strain on it that I could, so it could work for you.

Hi ladies!

First of all; you all have so many absolutely gorgeous silver pieces!!! And you wear it like Hermès models :queen:Love it!!

Most of the time I've only been looking at all the beautiful pictures and reading your post with joy - hope it's ok to show my very tiny silver collection so far... :smile1: I'll be recieving two more orange boxes just after the Easter holidays and I'm so excited :girlsigh:

So here is my Amulette Chain d'Ancre necklace and Farandole bracelet;
I know this is an old post but I have become obsessed with H silver necklaces and bracelets so I am looking through threads and this caught my eye. Does it say something below the Hermes marking? I can't tell if it's the pic or for real.

But it's beautiful!

Licol also comes in a necklace, a pendant, and earrings (also a ring, but the ring lacks the silver chain motif-- it's just the paisley). Fellow member Arabesques and I both have the earrings, and they are GLORIOUS-- definitely check those out if you're attracted to the design. Here's a thread with some pictures (including modeling pics-- Arabesques' are further in the thread and worth paging through to find, because they're better than mine):

Thanks for the report on the bracelet-- maybe this will help kill my fantasies of a full set from this line. I still dream of the matching necklace, however. So beautiful... but so pricey!
