We all live in an industrial society so there is grime in the air whether we can see it or not. The underside and corners of the links can accumulate a bit of grime so bracelets worn regularly can need cleaning in addition to polishing. Continuous wear can accelerate this process compared with intermittent wear.


Rings that are worn continuously--even just during the daytime--get wear. It takes maybe years for this wear to be evident, tho.
