All new/unworn (did I mention I sometimes have a very long time between when I buy shawl and wear it?
Hmm only 10 g - plus or minus 5 g - of difference bet heaviest and lightest
Doing the math in my head ... that is about plus or minus 5 percent variation - kind of a lot ...
but I don’t see a trend over time eg older is heavier ... darn
but this data does support the idea that they have been messing with the cs fabric for a while, or have an unusual ( haphazard ) inventory system
Usually inventory - bolts of fabric - is used in a systematic fashion , older is used first for ex
Hello marietouchet, maybe this older thread provides more answers. Changes in quality were noted with 2009 cashmere/silks. Prior, it was noted the cashmere/silks were less thin, and more hearty, so perhaps one has to weigh some from 2008 to notice much of a difference.

If I bought an item online and was picking it up from the store and it was defective, it's my right (by law) to refuse to accept it. The store should sort it out. This is when I'm sure I'd get the "online is separate from us madame".
Sometimes I go to the store and they tell me they haven't got 'X' but online has, suggesting I buy it online and collect it from the store, this is when "we're all one (well integrated) company"
They can't have it both ways.
Anyway, checked out every shawl but cw10 yesterday but came home empty handed. I guess I'm waiting for cw10 to try.
Picked up my replacement cw 03 at the boutique and was happy to be able to inspect it completely before buying. 
And I sent the defective one back to H and had to send them pics of the damage too. I am scared they think I caused the damage even though it is clear to an anyone experienced with CSGMs that the loop had to have been there BEFORE printing..... And hopefully it won't take a month to get a refund!
