For anyone that receives a defective PdS CSGM from H.com, my SA confirmed that it has to go back to H.com and the boutique will not accept it at all. Good news is, the boutique has a replacement now waiting for me!


Has the defective shawls been that high of number that they are refusing them? I am now worried that this maybe an issue not worth getting involved with....:wondering

I think returns are a difficult subject and different people get treated differently at different times at different stores

Last time I exchanged a scarf , not defective , just wrong color , the floor manager had to ok it, maybe he had not had a lot of returns that month which is why he allowed it

Clearly Hermes keeps track of the number of returns, like a batting average

Hmmm you got me thinking ... There are several questions.

Exchange policy -want to trade for something else - that does not impact sales figures

Return policy - I want my money back , that does impact someone’s sales figures

Replacement policy - replacement needed for defective merchandise .... ooohhh very touchy since this presumes that defective merchandise was produced
 
I'm a bit peeved that I am not getting cw06 this week. Was supposed to pick it up today or tomorrow. Wall Street has gotten no PDS in so far, my SA was having it sent from Short Hills (all approved) and at the last minute Short Hills reneged. They had several, and now almost a week later all are on hold. SA and SM were surprised and a little miffed. I am literally dreaming about this 06. If anyone has one on hold at Short Hills and declines, please tell SA to send it to Wall Street (as they are supposed to do if any of those holds don't sell). Thank you! Now back to waiting...

That’s weird! I tried on 06 at Wall Street back in February. I have a great SA in riverside nj if you need someone there.

litchi, I haven't seen CW 10 irl yet but based on the photos shared by other tpfers so far, I think for someone that has a decent collection of H scarves, meaning, having a good mix of some pieces that one can alway grab and go and some that require some thoughts being put into, I would go for the CW 10 if I have to choose only one. I remember gray and blue work well for you, so I would think you might have some that work well for you already in your collection. I find CW 06 very easy to wear, and needless to say, gorgeous, that blue is tdf, but it's easier to find another blue and gray but we don't see color combos like CW 10 in a good balance that often. Unless there are some colors on CW 10 that definitely don't work for you and cover a fairly big portion of it, then that's a no. Doesn't matter how pretty a scarf is, it has to work for the wearer. Otherwise I think CW 10 is more unique for a collector.

You summarized this perfectly! Deciding between cw 06 and cw 10 was also a very difficult decision for me. I chose cw 10 and do love that the colours are not as common as other colours that play themselves year after year. As you say, it does need to compliment your complexion and wardrobe.
But wow, I am in love with every cw I see on this forum and I wish I could buy them all !!!
 
Thank you for your expert assessment, dear cavalla! :hugs: You mentioned all the reasons I had in mind for cw10. This combination feels envigorating and refreshing, doesn't it? Much like that neon cw13 PdS silk that was instant love and just worked inexplicably. :amuse: I'm now excited to get it!

When I had to return / exchange my not in pristine condition online order last year, I confirmed with the customer service that we could return or exchange in any boutique. I checked which boutique had the scarf and went there. They said they didn't have it after they knew what it was about and sent me to another one that they saw had a few in stock. I went there, after understanding the situation, the SA spoke to the manager and they said it would be better that I send it back and get my refund. They could however get me a replacement for me to purchase. From the way they handled it I tend to believe that it has something to do with the fact that it might impact their sales so they didn't like to accept it and there's probably no standard procedure in place internally so by accepting these returns, it might turn into their problems. So the stores reject the returns, even thought they probably shouldn't. That's my guess.
