I am sorry to hear that, the hooks need to be "mini" otherwise with regular hooks, they would just look wrong on a mini K
I hope you can get this sorted, perhaps escalating to the store manager?

Hi everyone.. I’m not super knowledgeable when it comes to the length of Kelly strap.. today I got offered a store special order mini Kelly II in noir and craie!! I wanted to buy it but the strap was so short to the point I couldn’t crossbody it? I’m 5’6 but I’m not thin.. so my SA grab me a non SO mini Kelly and its right the strap of the regular mini Kelly was longer and I can crossbody it..

Does anyone knows what’s the shortest mini Kelly strap? I still regret it so much for not getting it due to its strap, but I don’t want to buy anything that I can’t wear :’’.

During the SO process the strap length can be customized. The traditional length is 85 ish but can be made as long as 110. I would have simply asked if the strap could be remade to your requested length. It’s been done before. In addition there are lots of companies that make straps other than H. Simply put if you loved the bag I would have taken it and thought about the strap later.

I’ve asked my SA if I can order another strap.. she told me she ordered 3 straps before for her other customers and it never came to my boutique ever, so I was worried, I rejected it and went for the classic bag with a longer strap :(

I’m sad I had to say no to the SO, but I’m also blessed she still offered to buy a mini Kelly II in a classic color.

I understand totally. I am 5"1 and the MK strap worn crossbody is just perfect as it hits just below my waist. There are options to order it longer for SO and custom. There are slight variations with the length because it's all cut and made by hand. You can read above that some members have custom ordered extra long straps. My store leather manager told me the MK is designed as a shoulder carry bag just like all regular Kellys, and not as crossbody, hence the standard strap length offered.

Yess even the standard strap length already hit a bit short for me :’’.. I should have read through this page before deciding!! But what’s done is done :P I brought non SO version home in Bleu Celeste :heart: and the strap perfectly fit for a crossbody.
