Hello Kelly 25 lovers! I would like my next H bag to be a Kelly 25 and am trying to narrow down the leather/color choices...of course it will be very hard to find a Kelly 25 at all, but I want to think ahead so that I can make the right choice in case I find one. I would like this to be a bag that I can use for many different occasions. My current bags are either casual or dressy and I need something that works for both. Which leather and color would you pick for such a bag?

Most Kelly 25s I've seen come either in swift, epsom, togo or box. I like togo for it's resiliency, but wonder if it's too casual for dressy occasions. Any thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated.

So glad to see this thread! I just bought my first K25 last week and really love it. All my other Kellys are 28's and it's a nice change. At first it seemed small but now that I've tried it and gotten used to it I think it's so chic and cute. I had a lot of trouble finding one through the boutique (and was picky about the color) so ended up buying from a reseller...

Here's a size reference with the 25 and a 28, if anyone's interested. I had posted some mod shots in the How to Wear a Kelly Casually thread too. I think it's such a great size- just love mine. It's Rose Draguee in swift.

Of course. Strangely, the strap for the K25 is about an inch longer! The K28 strap is about 31.5" and the strap for the 25 is 33". Later I'll measure some of my other K28 straps to see if they're the same- I'm curious now!
ETA: Measured another Kelly 28 strap and it was 32 1/4"- so maybe there's some variation from bag to bag.
Oh, and these measurements are the strap length without the clasps. The two clasps on either end will add about 3" to the drop.

Your K25 is gorgeous! I'm also looking for one, but my SA said they don't typically receive them. Apparently, the SM ordered more small bags this year, so maybe they'll get a K25, but I have no idea what color...

I'm eyeing a K25 from a reseller in black, but I already have a black box K28 (twins with yours). Do you think the use of a K25 and K28 is different enough to have both in the same color? The K25 is togo, so I would not have to be as careful with it and I'm thinking the small size will be easier to use in the evenings.

Well...you're asking someone who has two black box Kelly 28's (although one is retourne and one sellier)! I think there's enough of a difference- the 28 can of course be used as an evening bag, but a 25 would be so much dressier and chic with evening clothes, in my opinion. The 28, for me, is too big to be a real evening bag with formal clothes. A 25 would be perfect. I would get it! It's so hard to find a 25!!!

ITA, and I also have a BBK-28 Retourne, NAND I would get a Togo in a 25. You will use it so much, good luck and let us know what you decide :smile1:

Thank you! Actually, I've been thinking that I'd love to have a K28 sellier in box too (but probably in rouge h).

Thanks! I am still undecided...I'd also like to get a bag in a light neutral like gris t, but it may be near impossible to find this in a k25 (at least in the US - I've seen some on reseller websites in Asia). Black is probably better for evening wear though...and I wouldn't have to worry about it getting dirty...I am going back and forth on the decision
