Wow I'm always amazed how different our feet/bodies are. I have these in the Lagon/aqua color and they have been comfortable from day 1, no blisters, no pain, nothing. I've worn them a bit and walk a ton with them. Maybe my feet are so used to thong type sandals because I live in a warm tropical area and used to live in Havaianas rubber flip flops 99% of the time.

Sorry I'm no help in what you can do to increase comfort, but agree with others that you should return if you can. If it hurts too much, you won't wear them and it's a waste of money!

Beach sandals is the same design, except all leather with a bit of height. Love that pair…I had a bloody experience with Aloha and will never buy Hermes rubber footwear ever. It just doesn’t break in, still killing my two big toes whenever I wear them. Return your Egerie if you can.
I contacted Hermes and they allowed me to return them I shipped them back going to order the oran I think

This is a good point. Same for me. They feel like regular flip flops to me. However, I have, and wear, tons of flip flops almost year round so that seems to matter. Or maybe I just have hard feet lol

OP - I’m glad you were able to return them.

Also I can’t wait until they release a good pink color in this style! The color selection is very limited!

I love the look of the egerie and now I’m wondering if I can break in my feet by wearing Havianas or yoga toe inserts around the house lol (only half joking :P). But, it’s too expensive a mistake if it doesn’t work.

Hello all!

I've been eyeing trip espadrilles for a while now. I am 38.5 and Hermes does not make trip espadrilles in half sizes.
When I tried 38 in black goatskin I felt they were a little small, length-wise as my toes touch the end of the shoes. 39 is way too large. Do you know how much trip espadrilles typically stretch in length once you start wearing them?

When you say goatskin do you mean suede goatskin? If so I own a pair of these from a past season (forgot exactly when I got them but more than 2 years ago? Because I found photos of me wearing them June 2021), and I’m sure they have stretched a bit but not sure how much. Is it painful if you go with the smaller size? If so I wouldn’t get something painful with the hope that maybe you can make it work. There’s always more H goodies coming down the line!

Aside: interestingly, I am a size 36.5 and sized up to 37 for these (as mentioned they are whole size only). And that worked just fine. But!! This season I saw a pair in a new color I liked and tried it on…and this time size 37 was way too large. I have no idea why…maybe some size variation can happen even for the same style between different seasons..!!

Thanks for sharing !
I am typically able to manage half sizes just going half size up (38.5 > 39), it’s a little surprising that 39 is way too large. Interestingly I recollect trying these espadrilles last season and I do not recollect I had issues with the sizing. Last year I was not able to get the colour I wanted, this year the colour is available but sizing is not right

This was meant to post under the last purchase thread (CDC bracelet), but in the background, I am wearing my santorini sandals so I am sharing them. I love these sandals. I have three pairs already and I will keep buying other colors because they are amazingly comfortable.

I’m thinking about getting a pair of Santorinis! Do they run true to size for you? I feel like I’ve read before that they run large so I dunno if I can ask my SA to just order my normal size

They run true to size for me. I wear size 7 and I got them all in my regular size. Can't say the same thing for the Chypre sandals though. On these ones, I had to size up a full size and a half. Hope this helps. =)
