Sorry if they has been talked about but I just bought a pair of the egerie sandals and they are so painful I tired twice around the house and I just can’t! I contacted hermes to return them but I love the look of them and what to keep them hoping it just needs to be broken in. Help

Nope, in my experience they are the worst and don’t get better. Not sure why H makes the thong piece so freakin thick but, yeah, if they hurt already, best to return them unfortunately. The all leather version (“Beach Sandal”) is much better though as the thong is softer.

Sorry this has happened to you @xgianna6921x. I have 2 pairs of egerie sandals and they are totally fine now. Just hurt a bit in the beginning. In fact it was my leather Gipsy sandlas (basically egerie platforms) caused me more pain and blisters.
Don't give up on them so easy  . Remember, they are not walking shoes, they are for pool/beach/pedicures. So I have had the opposite experience of @acrowcounted. Sorry just edited to add yes I agree they are a beautiful style, and I've received so many compliments on both the egerie and egerie platforms ( I will call them that for those who don't like the name gipsy  )

Ahh no! I have a pair and had no problem with them. I also do have a lot of other jelly type thong sandals from other brands (Versace, CL, Gucci, etc) so I may be use to them. I walked the beaches of Turks and Caicos with them a couple days With no problem. I remember when I first got my Versace Medusa slides they were awful and the thong was hard but my inner toes got use to them and they are totally fine. They make them thick so they dont break from the sliding forward pressure. They do get easier. Your toes get ”broken in” not the shoes lol

I’m weeeeelll beyond the age that I suffer beauty anymore which is why I no longer wear CLs. I remember reading all of the bad comments about the Versace Medusa slippers and I started not to buy them. Glad I did. It took me a day to get use to. It take me longer to break in bras. Some shoes aren’t made for certain foot types and that goes for these I’m guessing.

Day 1 out of the box the egerie were fine, no preserving involved lol

Beach sandals is the same design, except all leather with a bit of height. Love that pair…I had a bloody experience with Aloha and will never buy Hermes rubber footwear ever. It just doesn’t break in, still killing my two big toes whenever I wear them. Return your Egerie if you can.

I suppose all feet are different but I found them very uncomfortable at first owing to the stiff thick rubber thong. Then they were not. Either I got used to it or they softened. I dunno but now they are my most comfortable.

I think them being beach shoes need to be reiterated lol. These are not shoes you are supposed to be walking in daily. They are rubber shoes so sand can be easily washed off, to be flexible in sand and withstand water.
I think you’re misunderstanding that for people who these shoes hurt, they hurt basically even just standing still. I put a pair on and stood up and thought “oh no”. By the time I had walked from my hotel room directly down the elevator and out to the pool, the skin around the thong was rubbed raw. I actually chose to walk back to the room barefoot to get flip flops rather than wear them for another step. I’m glad they work fine for you but that doesn’t mean they work for everyone else.

I completely understand which is why I mentioned the reviews on another pair that I bought and mentioned earlier that these shoes weren’t made for everyone(see above quote), nor did I quote anyone. In the end they are beach shoes. Some people will like them some will not.
