Oh, we would love a pic of yours too! There can never be too many poncho pictures! Such a great and versatile invention and the softness of the hermes rocabar just blew me away!

LOL! I agree that there can never be too many poncho pictures. You ladies all looks so good in it. I just love them all! :graucho:

Here is my feeble attempt to take a photo of my anthracite in the only full-length mirror in our house (pardon the state of my daughter's room!). Thanks to frou frou, I'm wearing my etoupe evelyne with the poncho for the first time, and it is the perfect bag to wear with this piece!

Congrats, HfromT, this is a gorgeous, chic piece and you wear with fantastically.

Major celebration, lovely! I hope you find it has useful as I have this past year. I wear it all the time.

Well thank YOU and Israeli_Flava for introducing this to all of us, arabesques.:hugs: I find it an incredibly comforting item to wear. I described it to my two daughters as a "socially acceptable Snuggie" that can be worn outside! They seemed to understand that description!

That's very sweet of you, Sammy Royal! I just LOVE this piece, and it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. As I was deliberating between the poncho and the purple Marwari (I've done enough damage this season, thankyouverymuch, so I couldn't get both), my SA said "you have more than enough cashmere GMs, so you should get this special piece". And so, I had no choice but to listen to her advice!;)

Not to enable you, Sammy Royal, but the Evelyne is a great bag any way you look at it. I LOVE the two that I have, and use them more than any other H bag. It would look incredible with your poncho!

No, OF COURSE!!! You.would.never.enable.me! No! ;) - Thank you for trying all the same! Know that you are meaning well! :D However, have also done some serious damage already this season and am REALLY still thinking about the red Alamo , so... - However, I promise, I will try the Evy once again. I truly love this bag, therefore tried it many times - but it never loved me back. I look like a schoolgirl with this bag and not in a good way, if you know what I mean... :nogood:

Sammy Royal, girlie, you look fantastic in OUR poncho! Your pics are great and show great ways to wear the new goodie. I can't wait to try some of the looks out too! Thank you for snapping away and for being such a great model. Congrats and enjoy!!
Dear MarvelGirl! It is OUR Poncho who makes us look great! Thank you for your wonderful comments! :flowers: Can't wait to see more pics of you, twin!! :D

hello everybody!
i read this thread a few days ago, and became curious about this poncho rocabar. as i am living just about 150m from my local H-boutique :-) i went there today and asked for it. they had one of them in store and though the colour (paille/yellow) didn't please me, i actually liked the look of it on me although i have never been wearing something similar - i am a guy by the way. :-)
my SA ordered one in gris/grey for me, and it should arrive within a fortnight...
normally i am quite straight about my clothes and my style, but this one just suprised me so that i am a little uncertain about it...a guy wearing a poncho...with leather tassels... :-)

i would love to get some opinions please about guys wearing the poncho rocabar...about how to style it...

Well, Eastwood, Newman, and Redford all rocked the poncho! Someone posted a great photo of Pharrell in the H Alamo poncho somewhere on this thread...
I think the Gris is the best color for a guy, and a rugged look probably suits it best for a man, whereas a more streamlined look works better for a woman.

It works well over baggy jeans and a denim or leather jacket.
Here are a few photos of men in ponchos, not H, but the same silhouette.

This is so HOT. Thank you, Monceau!

Happy finally to be united with my Alamo! Hoping to take better pics later to show how it reverses to navy/BdP rather than BdP/navy as shown-- and a pic to show the rouge h trim! But for now, a street shot from Milan. Thank goodness for this thread or I'd have been tempted to start one with the terrible pun title "Reveal Milanese." :D

Va Va Voom! You look amazing!
The daylight really shows off the gorgeous BdP.
I can tell by the fringe and drape that the Alamo is a finer weave than the Rocabar, very elegant.

Hi Calexandre Cheering for you in your adorable Bleu de Prusse Alamo

You were right to hold out for this beauty , the colour is made for you and the elegance of the Alamo is perfect for city breaks and New York .I imagine it working beautifully with some of your 90cm silks for the chilly days too.
Hope you are enjoying La Dolce Vita in Milan:cool:

Oh my goodness calexandre, you look AMAZING in this BdP Alamo!! Love that it reverses as well...two for the price of one!;) Would have LOVED a thread entitled "Reveal Milanese"!!:giggles:

i got a call from my local boutique - they told me that the poncho rocabar in gris has arrived today, the poncho alamo in navy is to come in within the current week. so i will have the possibility to try them on both.
i am now already thinking about how to build a look around this not so easy garment - maybe even more difficult as i am a guy. what do you think, will the grey one get along with the LV logomania scarf? in black? in grey? or in red?
how do you style the poncho?
