I am wondering if Alamo is new or old seasonal design or a basic design? I know I see a lot of Rocabar but never Alamo on website. Could any of you kindly tell me? And also the difference between the 2 styles? Alamo looks a bit bigger and thicker in material than Rocabar. Is that only my eyes?
According to my SA, the Alamo is new.

Dear honhon! The Rocabar is the older model. So, if you would want this, you might need to be quick... ;) The Alamo is new and according to my SA would still be available for a while. I tried both and thought that the Alamo is a bit lighter and softer although it is the same material and the same size.

You probably feel that the Alamo looks bigger because the stripes of the Rocabar give a bit more structure to the lady underneath. This is why I decided on the Rocabar as my first poncho - but now I need the Alamo as well!! :D It is more elegant and definitely worth a try!

Dear Sammy Royal, Thank you so very much for your valuable information! I am definitely going to try out both Rocabar and Alamo. I can't wait!!!

I just saw that the rouge H is sold out on hermes.fr so I was lucky I got one yesterday! Thanks to you! Are the stripes Purple colour?

You're going to love your new poncho, especially with the boots. I have Rouge H boots, and the combination can't be beat.

The stripe is blue, but when woven with the red threads, it visually appears like purple. The fringe at the edge shows the true color.

Thank you! Your picture was also a contributing factor! You look fabulous in it!!

Allow me a last one - although I COULD model this poncho the whole day... :D

I am more the shoulder bag than the handheld bag type, so, this is how I help myself: Flipping one side of the poncho over the shoulder. Here with my Soie Cool. I am wearing only a sweater underneath but it works down to 8°C! I think I do not need to mention again how very, very happy I am with my Rocabar... It shows a bit. ;)

Can't get over your pics!!! Yes, you look extreeeeemely happy and I can see why!!!! Fabulous modeling dear and your pics really show off the versatility of this piece.

I think it's so easy to wear and super comfy... I plan to wear this to Thanksgiving dinner with my family so I can hide my round belly after I stuff myself with turkey

SammyRoyal, do you know if the Alamo is replacing the Rocabar?
My SA was not clear on this, she did say that the Alamo is new, but she did not mention whether or not it was an addition to the line or a replacement for the Rocabar. My boutique just got a new shipment, but only of the Alamo.

I had planned on stopping at two and perhaps getting the Paille next fall, but I might need to rethink that strategy if we are seeing the end stock...:thinkin:

With the cooling weather, I've been wearing my ponchos constantly—truly. I love how warm and festive they are (especially if you wear a shearling jacket underneath). I took a picture yesterday before heading out for a festive day...

And a note . . . I wear them often with lots of different scarves. Here, it's with a doubled up Metamorphoses par Hermès mixing the Cendre/Jaune cw with the Gris Perle cw (I love this scarf design).

Always fabulous!

I think we must similar taste, not only twins on the Rouge Roc poncho but also in Land boots, which of course go so well together.

I think they will look amazing on you, everything does ;)

Wear them in good health

Finally as promised... :smile1: Would have loved to take the pics outdoors but it is such a very grey day today...

Welcome to the club, you wear your poncho like you've always had it, and perfect wear for the cold...er... library :D

So I finally wore my anthracite poncho on a walk with my DH today, and he LOVED it! Phew!! I'm finding that my preferred way of wearing it is with one side tossed over my shoulder, which makes the lines more "clean" on my frame. Wore it with just a cashmere sweater underneath, and I was very cosy in spite of the -2 Celsius temps here today. I am so happy I bought this poncho, and thanks so much to everyone who inspired me here!:hugs:

So happy to hear you and your DH are enjoying this piece!!! :hugs:

I missed this gorgeous photo, arabesques....such a wonderful mix of H colors and textures, and I love the addition of the leopard print gloves too. These ponchos look so incredible on you...would you consider buying more cws, or is your collection complete (for now)?!
