Alright my dear... pump your breaks...
Wait until you get the rouge before springing for another Poncho. You need to make sure you LOVE it!!! :hugs:

Man, I wish I were your SA. You're easy :p hahahahaha j/k

Hahahahaa I'm so glad u decided to give it another shot.
Soooo while I was at the boutique I tried the poncho on with my various H belts (not a CDC belt tho) and I preferred not to have a belt. The belt looked alright IMO but it was messing up the flow of the tassels.... Maybe it will look better with a more plain, non-logo belt. For me, the best way to wear it is to toss one side over my shoulder. It adds demension by showing off one leg while remaining cocooned in heavenly fabic :p

Fortunately for me, they are sold out at my boutique - I wonder how THAT happened:p
So I have time to grow accustomed to wearing the rouge before any more arrive.
I agree with other posters that you deserve a commission, dear!

Belting the poncho does hide the tassels, and the legs. So you've got that Angelina Jolie one-leg look figured out...can't wait to see your pics!

IF, looking forward to your comments on how the thrown-over-one-shoulder method works in practice (i.e., moving around during the day)-- does it require constant throwing, or just a couple re-throws throughout the day? This was my favorite look too since it also shows a sliver of waist to hint at a figure beneath all that fabric, but I've still only gotten to wear mine in the boutique as I won't have it in my hands for another couple weeks. Looking forward to living vicariously in the meantime! :smile1:

Calexandre, I'm sure some of the other poncho owners here can attest to the many ways one can wear these little gems, but my SA was showing me a number of ingenious ways to wear it while I was trying it on in the store yesterday. She had it on me backwards, sideways, and to the front, all of which looked great. Now if only I could replicate them!

Sideways! That DOES sound thrilling! Your SA must be ingenious.

I'm sure you'll be not only replicating them, but inventing your own soon enough. :graucho:

Hold those tears - you have sold me on the Yellow!
Love your mod shots, you look so laid-back chic! Fabulous!!!
Oh Monceau you are so sweet. I agree with IF, your SA must love you so much. :D

Your pics are outstanding darling!!!
I love the outdoor photos as they represent the true colors so well
and your casual vibe is so charming!!!!

Have you found yourself wearing it often since you bought it last year?
Thanks IF. I'm so embarassed to say that I didn't wear it even once last year. 'Cause I totaly forgot this gorgeous poncho after I crammed it to my closet. But I definitily will wear it a lot this year.

Wow! Sounds amazing. Please do show us.

Despite tpf going slow on my mac last week I managed to keep up with my favourite threads , and this is one of them thanks to ISRAELI FLAVAwho as I speak will be rocking that yellow Rocabar.

The infection was slow to show itself with a long incubation period , but now I have the fever and the poncho has broken out! My yellow Rocabar presented itself in Bond Street today

Now I'm awaiting the response from DH which will I know not be ecstatic ; he doesn't go a bundle on my fave Brora cashmere sweater in mustard , and also will have to remind me how I donated a rather similar affair I had for 12 years to charity only last week . But it didn't have the tassels ....

I think I saw it! I am sure you will look fabulous and rock it. I know I cannot, being 5 ft nothing!

If I decide to get the blue one (which I haven't tried yet, as it isn't in our store for another two weeks), I will try to post some photos showing the various ways she taught me to wear it!

You prob know anyway but just in case and totally off topic (except for other members of the European branch of the CEAS, but before I forget:

For the only fedoras (worth having) in London, try Bates or Christys both now in Princes Arcade (off Piccadilly but Jermyn Street). Libertys (who now own Chistys) stock Christys too, but not the full range.

http://www.christys-hats.com/

Bates are currently redoing their website (I'm wondering if they've changed hands recently?) but only a bit more £ than Christys.

 Hi Papertiger
Thanks for the fedora tip! I did some poncho damage at H this afternoon and need to lock myself away from retail therapy , but when I surface your recommendation will be acted upon!
Your BF took a great action shot of you in your Rouge H poncho , as Calexandre said it's a glorious PT image !
Oh yes , why don't we have a hilarious London meet with our Ps ? Only kidding.

Bought the yellow one last year . The first two photos are I tried on the blue and yellow ones in store. The last 2 are outdoor mod pics taken today. For your reference. :sly:
BTW, I'm 5'4".

You look marvellous ] in both and I now totally get why you and Arabesques bought multiple c'ways ! I had thought a poncho was a poncho was a poncho , but now I understand their personalities :
Yellow ; Action woman , independent and always on the go .
Rouge H : Likes dark chocolate , art galleries and reads Russian novels .
Bleu de Prusse : Cool and collected and so refined .

Don't want to be redundant but this really shoes the rouge Alamo in true color. Would have posted sooner but just figured out how to crop out my face.View attachment 2798363
This was made for you ,just perfect on your frame and the colour is divine.

Monceau I've so enjoyed reading your Rocabar journey . Like those couples who divorce and remarry ...you can't be separated for long .

Please post some modelling shots !

rainneday, let me know how you get on with the Prussian Blue! I could be wrong, but I think the leather trim on the Rocabar is Barenia, while the Alamo (which you tried) has the Rouge H trim. In case that's a factor for anyone!
glaucophane, wonderful pics--and a wonderful setting! What a beautiful porch/deck!

Alamo! Yes! That is the one that I tried :smile1: It definitely had the Rouge H trim. I can't stop thinking about it...

These are beautiful! Is this blue the Prussian Blue in the Rocabar?
