I already saw this beauty on the HAC thread, but I just had to come here for the close ups of the spine and grain on MsPiggy's black chevre HAC. Just gorgeous!

MsPiggy, such a gorgeous HAC! I have been thinking of a 32cm HAC, but just not sure as I have only had the regular birkins in all sizes. I do love the short handles. Do you mind posting a modeling pic?

GS I never like the veins or stretch marks that runs on Togo and Fjord and I'm not a fan of large grains with bumps that are increasingly found on Togo. IMO, chevre has fine grains that are neither bumpy nor flat. It looks like fine lines yet upon closer inspection it appears like mini goosebumps! Oh and the aroma of chevre...

OB I'm very much looking forward to seeing your chevre HAC. To me, in non-exotic skin, nothing comes close to chevre. Even in black, the coromandel leather takes the colour so beautifully, never a dull moment. The sheen reflects the richness and depth of the sombre colour, almost rendering a 3D effect. It sparkles literally!

I am back to drool over the sheen ms piggy.....simply stunning! Now I am thinking of changing my order from box calf to chevre.

Thanks again LIBRADIAMONDS. I will correct myself and say that in regular leather, nothing comes close to Box and Chevre. They are both very different in looks and behaviour yet IMO absolute must-haves in a collection. Black Box is a classic. Maybe you would like to consider another colour in the goat skin? Red is gorgeous in chevre too.
