oh, a question to Chevre Birkin owners - what's the estimate weight of Chevre Birkin 30 or 35? Or how heavy are they if compared to the same sizes in, let's say Togo or Clemence or Epsom?

i don't have the birkin, but if you do a search on weight you can find the weight thread for 35 leathers. in any case, chevre is lighter than togo and clemence. however, i have to say we shouldn't blame our bags for all the things we lug around that make it so heavy. i just got a barenia toile birkin (the love of my life bagwise) and she is incredibly light even with all the things i MUST have (e.g., tape measure, mini flashlight, snacks, kindle, and so on)

mistikat, that's a gorgeous birkin!

Weightwise, after using the CDC Kellys, "trying on" other Kellys in togo, clemence, box etc seems heavy. Love that goat!

Back of my indigo K ms piggy. With and without flash. I find it hard to see a spine in the front of the bag and have given up trying to take a photo!

Just realised I didn't post my bag here. :supacool:

32 black CDC sellier kelly with PH. It is a K stamped bag.

As you can see, the spine is super pronounced.

It has a nice sheen in real life. Black in CDC is not a deep black that absorbs light, it actually reflects light because of the leather.

It is non-slouchy, but is still soft to use when you life the flap. The flap is quite souple. (For contrast, I've tried a box kelly, it was very hard and stiff to lift up the flap.)

This is a really wonderful leather. :heart:
