Thank you, I absolutely love it. I had been agonising over a jewellery-maker's watch or a watch-maker's watch for a few years now. This was the first one I tried that I absolutely loved. And I love hydrangeas too.
The diamonds, mother of pearl face and 3 hydrangea petals set around make it so feminine. With my eyesight starting to go, the larger face is better for me.
This watch ticked off all my requirements and I love it. It comes with the choice of an additional strap and service at the store was exceptional. I was meant to get the BML bracelet, but I'll get that before the next price increase.
I've already worn it to work. Thrilled with it.

What are the others on your list? I tried so many and only this fit into my criteria (budget, mop face, diamonds, metal bracelet, no colour, brand new, face has to be large enough and legible etc...). The only other watch that came close was vca Alhambra but I didn't love it.

Thank you. The dial size is 28mm. The smaller one is 22mm. The BML in my photos isn't the correct size. It's a 170 but I take 160.

I really love the entire Hortensia line, so this is the best of all worlds!
I actually did not realize they had a 28 mm option, that is a game changer, because I need a watch face that I can see! I do worry that it is hard to tell the time on watches with only a marker at 12, so I think it’s great that yours has 4 markers.
The others I am considering are a vintage Piaget precious stone dial watch (really gorgeous, but I am not mechanically inclined, so they may be too much effort - as I even noticed a difference in the ease of setting my new Rolex versus my Rolex from the early 2000s) and the Boucheron Serpenti white gold watch (aesthetically similar to your Chaumet watch). Like you, I also considered the VCA Alhambra watch, because I love VCA, but I just need a little bit bit more usable watch than that would provide for me, so I will probably not go with that option.

Thank you, I am fortunate I can wear all 3 colours but chose WG to match my platinum band.
Is there a Chaumet close to you to try? I understand these aren't mass produced and generally they have only 1 in store at a time, if they have it in stock (so I was told). I searched the forum for 'hortensia' and didn't find much other than some posts where you mentioned what a lovely line it was.
I tried a few at Piaget which were within my budget. I know they make their own mechanisms and all but while an automatic mechanical watch is nice, it's not a must for me. None of them grabbed me though.
The VCA is nice but the shape of the Alhambra dictates the length of the hands, and it is a much smaller face than what it appears. Lovely watch though.

Unfortunately, there is not, or I suspect I would own this watch already! I am in the USA, and there is only one boutique on the opposite end of the country. That’s why your review is so helpful 🥰
