I am kinda late to join the box calf club. But I was always worried that box has to be babied that I resisted it. Till my SA brought me the BBC18 end of last year. I gasp when I saw and felt the leather in my hand and said yes to it. In the next few months I've then used it like I would for all my other bags (just out in sunny days) for a little more than a dozen times and LOOOOOVE the leather. It has a luxurious feeling to the touch and omg that shine! So I added a BBK 28 to my wishlist and lucky me got the call after just a week of adding it. Now I don't know how the box Kelly, being larger, would stand up against my daily use but I sure am happy to have these two box calf pieces in my collection.

Received today....new to me Kelly Box Retourne 35. This is the softest leather I’ve ever felt!! The bag is from 1994 and only a few minor surface scratches! ❤️
My only box leather bag and it was my first Hermes bag. Kelly 28 in terre battue with phw. I rarely wear it.

Yes although they keep saying it’s the matte version of Box. It’s not. I have not much problem with either but many big collectors tell me Tadelakt scratches much more easily than Box all things considered.

Chamonix is definitely matte. It would never patina and become shinier like Box. You need to see real life examples to be able to differentiate between them all.
