I love everyone’s gorgeous Box beauties! As Box is delicate, do you guys ever use your bags for travel? I’m considering getting a preloved K32 for air travel, not sure if Box is ok for this or if I should get one in Togo/Clemence instead.:flowers:

Any idea on how to get in touch with docride? I’d like to send mine to the spa but I cannot find a website only her Instagram.
You know what is best for you, but Hermes will not spa/repair or accept in any way a bag which has been worked on by someone other than themselves, at any time.
I'm sure it's a lovely bag-please show us before and afters!

Just make sure you do 'business' away from TPF once you make contact.

I would echo @nymeria too, H official Spa can be more better in the long-run sine if you need a significant repair they'll already have a history with the bag. It's obviously not just a case of price but you have to give them time too.
Thank you good to know I had no idea Hermes would not repair if it has been worked on by someone else. Does this apply to spa as well?

When you say "use your bags for travel" what exactly do you mean? I generally bring my H bags with me when I travel, but when I'm traveling to and from the destination (e.g., air travel) my H bags are generally in another bag or tote, safely ensconced in their dust bags. They get pulled out when I get to the location, and I always have a rain jacket, or collapsable bag, I can tuck it into in case of rain. If you mean as an actual travel bag replacing a tote as your personal item for air travel, I'd be cautious. Too many opportunities to scratch, IMHO, plus if there's a mishap on the plane and liquids spill, it could be problematic. I would think a less delicate leather would be better. I wouldn't be as cautious for car traveling, but if you take precautions any bag can travel with you. But then, Jane Birkin's original Birkin was Box, and she certainly never babied it when she traveled. If you're OK, with the bag showing wear and tear over time, then go for it.

Thank you for your insights :flowers:

I think it also depends on different stores: I spa my bags myself and send them to H spa every couple of years, they've always taken them in without a problem. It's different if you have actual work/repairs done by third parties, then H won't work on your bag.
