880 - what a lovely little collection of barenia you have amassed. that must smell heavenly.

bornfree - we are bag twins! my barenia toile is very well loved, i was wearing her today and huffing happily.

my peko - congrats on that rare beauty!

i am dying over the black barenia crinoline - that is truly a unicorn bag

Piaffe, I've never seen another like it. I got it at Barneys New York about five years ago. The SA at the Hermès Boston store was very admiring when I brought it in for a new battery. :smile1:

I also can't find my original Barneys receipt (usually I keep all receipts in the box the item came in, aargh).

I was certain the SA called it a Barenia strap, but I will defer to the wisdom of the experts here. :smile1:

DiamondS, if I can ask, which barenia size do you use the most, the kelly, HAC, birkin. . . And which shade of barenia is your personal favorite - the group pic has such a lovely array of color. . .

Cakeymakeybakey - I am very sorry, but it is really difficult to tell if it is chamonix or barenia from a small piece of leather. Perhaps others could lend a hand. Your watch is beautiful regardless of the leather.

Exactly!
This jogged a memory for me. For a while I thought that the rouge H leather on my toile Trim was rouge H barenia. I pm'ed Hermesgroupie and she said that she was not aware that there was rouge barenia and gently burst that idea bubble. I compared it to my rouge H chamonix Bolide when she joined the family was then able to ID the leather on the Trim.
