I have a Barenia Calvi pop, which was in rotation frequently for a few years with a few other cardholders/wallets. It’s a beautiful leather but most definitely does not look new. I tend to use it in my Barenia bags as it’s such a nice complement. Honestly, the Bastia is perhaps the least investment you could possibly make to experience the leather and see for yourself if it’s for you. Maybe go back and get it, why not?

People either love Barenia with all the passion in their hearts, or it’s just not for them. There doesn’t seem to be a middle ground on this leather.

One thing Barenia is NOT is fragile. I have a fully-patina’d, 20 year old Barenia Kelly and I swear that thing is indestructible. It’s my favorite bag and I think it’s amazingly beautiful, but it will never look new.

My advice is to do an image search for Barenia and get a good look at how it ages. If it appeals to you, definitely get that Barenia Bastia. Just beware, using it will make you want more things in this leather!

Ooh can we see?! I am really itching for a Barenia Kelly. Would love to see an patina’d kelly!

I have a Barenia Pop that I purchased 3 years ago. I use it to store coins and I leave it in my reusable tote. It gets tossed around and most recently it got wet as my reusable tote bag got drenched in a downpour. I just left it to dry on it's own. You can see there's faint water mark on it. It doesn't bother me.

It's my little slice of Barenia and I now wouldn't mind having a bag in this beautiful heritage leather.

I love both my bastia and calvi in barenia- I would get more in a split second- what color is the inside? They wear beautifully, but you DO need to understand and want that "lived in look"- not for everyone.
