Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering if any of you know whether it is still possible to get a Barenia B35 with gold hardware that is new? I’ve been seeing some new B35s but they all have phw, and I’ve also seen B30s with ghw, but I’ve only come across older/ vintage bags that are both B35 and have ghw. TIA!

I believe only Barenia Faubourg is currently circulating in bags bigger than 25, and then, they appear to turn in batches alternating between GHW and PHW.

If Faubourg is of interest, I believe this can be PO’d by your boutique. Classic Barenia is strictly Push only and in very limited quantities.

Calling all resident bareniacs, I'd be grateful for some advice.

I'm looking into something special which will be worn crossbody, and before I make a decision, I got to thinking about how Barenia reacts to the constant rub of crossbody wear. I'm presuming this simply accelerates the patination process and results in a deeper, darker, glossier rear panel, but thought I would ask anyhow.

I'm guessing Evelyne owners are best placed - any piccies would be really appreciated too.

B35 and B30 in Barenia are still around via push order. I was recently offered a B35. It was PHW (I already have this bag) but my understanding is that GHW does exist, it's just a rare find on an already fairly rare bag.

Thanks QF! Yes, it seems like any Barenia bag from the store is super rare - I was talking to an SA at Beverly Hills who said they had a client wait 4 years for a Barenia B - so I guess I'll be looking to the resale market!

Lol...that was probably me they were talking about!
Barenia is good at resale...It's so expensive new and it's kind of nice to have someone do the patina for you :)

I have a smooth barenia Halzan that is worn crossbody. It is posted in the Halzan thread in Clubhouse. It is an ideal size and style fir this leather. Love it to bits.

I would say that you are correct in your assumption as the one-piece back/front panel (35x56) of my messenger from 2008 illustrates.
