My Vert Olive Barenia Birkin recently returned home from an 8 month stint in Paris where it got new handles and sangles. It was gone for the whole US school year, so DH jokes that we sent it away to boarding school, and for a bargain basement price of ~$2100!

I thought Barenia lovers would like to see what brand new Vert Olive Barenia looks like since we don’t see it very often. My bag came to me when it was well used and a deep brown, but you can see the color difference between the new and old leathers. Brand new, it’s distinctly olive green. So happy to have my favorite bag back home!

Looks beautiful. The different tones make it look like a special order. Love it.

Barenia Faubourg is a new incarnation of barenia leather with a surface texture akin to clemance or togo. There is a discrete thread for it.

Barenia Faubourg now has a thread of it's own https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/everything-barenia-faubourg.982271/page-34#post-32538033

Everyone with items that a made with original (smooth) Barenia please post here, whilst anyone with items or an interest in the newer Barenia Faubourg please post in the thread above. TY.

This post will 'de-stick' beginning of Oct

I just got her yesterday and I cannot get over how beautiful she is. And that amazing smell!! It just melts me :girlsigh: I’m so excited to see how she develops her patina! Are there any specific tips on how to acquire that beautiful sheen other than regular use and love? I read something somewhere about a saddle balm from Hermes but I think it is only available in Europe?

Congrats on this beauty! Such a cutie in the B25 :)
