Obsessing over the condition of your bag! A long confession

I'm awful about it, I'll sell a bag I bought full price on eBay if there is any kind of flaw in the first month of owning it. I can't wear it. Right now I just JUST got a white Ali and there's a spot on the lower from thats a slight discoloration, yo can't notice it at ALL unless you look, it makes me ill to look at it so I just sold it on eBay for real cheap. Augh it's very frustrating sometimes. But if I've had the bag for long enough I don't fret as much! I don't get it.
You sold your white ALI??? It looked great on you. What are you going to get now?

the other day I had my Carly Pouch sitting on the front seat of my car and my dimmmbulb friend got in the car

AND HE SAT ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I freaked out on him all the way to the restruant and the conversation when through lunch. and then I said, "you purchase $500 tennis rackets, I purchase $500 purses."
and that shut him up!

I made the mistake of taking my black and white mini sig demi to a football game once, and the guy behind me spilled beer all over it. I have no idea how it recovered, but there was no stain or anything. I would have been devastated!

i usually take extra care that my bags are out of harms way. and i clean them often. i spent about 2hrs on one bag today (just cleaning the handls and then conditioning the leather) so i protect my investments.

Question for the leather owners: I just got my pleated black leather hobo and I am loving it! My car and my bedroom smell like, that very specific, Coach leather smell. My bag is already showing some little "scratch" marks and I am not happy about it. It is from the use but I wonder if there is a leather protection of some sort that we could use. Here is the pic. I am very proud. A little out of style but love the classic bag. Does anybody have the same problem with scratches????

Lolitastar:

I purchased my black pleated hobo a month ago. I don't think it is out of style at all. It is a timeless classic that will always look good. It is a bag that is out of character for Coach to have made so for this reason I love it all the more although I have only worn it once. Enjoy carrying your bag.

kind regards,
Liz

I do try and keep my purses nice. They live in dustbags, when I'm not using them, I don't put them on the floor, they'll sit on my feet if there is no other choice. But...I buy bags to use them. I stay away from bags that I think are too delicate though. I once bought a pink signature C bag with suede accents, I loved it, but the suede became absolutely black with light usage. That's the only bag I've ever returned. I'll never buy suede again unless it's black or dark brown. I'm not going to spend $$ on it unless I can use it.

That being said, I once spilled a bottle of cough syrup inside my red leather tote. Whatever they coat the fabric with is spectacular. It never went through the lining, and cleaned up with a little soapy water.
