Sorry you didn't get a perfect one. Thought...I'd the chunk out of clasp some glue or something? I had that happen to me once...thought the hardware was damaged. Took my fingernail to it and it came right off!
I've noticed too that most bags with feet come already scratched up when ordering from coach. If I order from Macy's or zappos where the bags come factory wrapped they are perfect. I have 3 boutiques near me and they all said they won't be getting this bag in stock. I think I will end up returning it because I have a good chance of an exchange looking just as bad
You know what? When I picked up my last bag they brought out a factory wrapped one at FP Coach. took 3 before I found one without a noticeable flaw (major scratch in front, definite cover-up/touch up on leather flaw etc). All bags were fully wrapped.
I realize I'm picky but even my friend and the S.A. said theyd skip the ones I didn't take.
I'm not sure. If I could look at replacements in person I would exchange. I had 3 poor condition rivet swaggers sent to me recently, not wanting to play that game again.
Ugh, that's awful. Considering all the price increases / less PCEs I find it really annoying that the quality isn't increasing as well.

Thanks for the opinion! Both are pretty in different ways. I did just order a third bag. I figured I had too return one of it anyway already so let's see what inside dustbag #3. I'm hoping third time is the charm.

I don't have a mod pic, but I tried them both out over the weekend. I think the market tote will be huge on everyone! So I wouldn't worry much about the size being too large, the larger the better to see the pretty colors! I thought the crossbody was a bit larger than I imagined, in a good way. All these mini bags now are so small, so it's definitely larger than that, but still a small profile. The strap is long, so it is good length to be worn crossbody.
Personally, the tote is the one to get. The colors are much more pretty on the pebbled leather. However, it really comes down to the utility of the bag. I don't think the crossbody and the tote can swap places in terms of what they can be used for.
I love the tote just never had one this big. It will take some getting used to. No I'm going to stick to the tote. Every time I get a crossbody I get frustrated because they are never big enough or do not hang right so I've learned I'd rather it be too big than too small.
