I was hassled over a wallet on a wrist strap, they wanted check it! I insisted it was just a wallet and they said it was more than that. They ended up letting me in with it.

You cannot go in with anything. Not even a scarf, I once had to check one and it wasn't even Hermes!

At the first sale I went to there were dogs (in their doggie carriers) on the floor of the coat/bag check area. This was before it moved to SH.
Needless to say, I was not amused:( felt bad for the pups!

Wow, Codygirl, that's the pits. If I had arrived with my pup and been told I had to check her/him, I would just have left. Left sadly, perhaps, but my dogs come before stuff.

I have been holding out for an invite to magically appear in the mail - but alas! No luck!

So is anyone who *doesn't* have an invite going tmrw? I'm so sad my SA didn't put me on the list - even though she mentioned it to me! =( Does anyone think it's worth going anyway?

Beyond that - more realistically - who is going on Wednesday? Anyone planning on lining up Pre-Dawn? I would love some company!

Can't wait to hear all the lovely hauls for tmrw! I hope it's amazing!!! :D

I dont think so. The people at the door has a master list of invitees on their clipboard which they check.

Not to sound desparate (o wait, I may be...:graucho:) - is anyone who got an invitation NOT going? or unable to go? I would be more than happy to get there early and stand in line for you and shop for you! :D

I took Wednesday off, thinking I would be brave enough to stand outside predawn.....but now....depends on how great the folks say the private sale is on Tuesday. (Oh Lord, I hope I am not becoming too old to enjoy shopping adventures:smile1:)

I'm also waiting to hear. I've waited in line for about 2 hours for several of their sales, but as it gets closer, the Task Rabbit service is looking better and better to me.

Definitely not the end of the world! Just check it.

I know even for the YSL sample sale this summer some people started lining up the night before.

Although - that sale was much better publicized. Hopefully the lack of publicity will hold the crowds down? (Overly optimistic?) Soiffer Haskin hasn't emailed me about it like they usually do, and the article on Racked was sort of vague. Although I just checked my Sample Sale app, and it has it. Drat!

^^^ I've been checking Soiffer Haskin's website for the past several weeks, and their sale schedule just completely skipped over Hermes. Maybe they made an agreement with Hermes to not announce it. You know how Hermes is with giving out, or should I say NOT giving out information.
