Do they have the Jumping boots at the sale?!?!?
I got a pair in Mocha last fall and I really want the black as well. A friend said she would go for me, but I don't want to ask her to stand in line for nothing. Jumping boots would def. be worth it!

Who was the lovely lady in line today with the remarkable Loree Rodkin (I think) jewelry? I was too shy to approach you and gawk, but I have been searching high and low for Loree Rodkin pieces and can't find a decent selection anywhere! If you are willing, please PM me and point me toward a retailer! You looked smashing, by the way. Sorry, all, back to topic. Disappointing as it is.

I went today with my invitation. No line--easy in and out. Only shoes, clothes and some hats and gloves. For those of you who went last year, it sounds like much of the same. It was a total waste of time. There were a few decent shoes but it depends on your size... most notably, NO SCARVES, handbags, belts or jewelry, all of the things I usually purchase at the store. So for me, it was a total waste of time.

Ladies you can all forget about the sale. There were picked over gloves, shoes, hot pink jumping boots and ready to wear. I'm so disappointed. I paid someone to stand in line for me for nothin. There wasn't even an old scarf or a bottle of perfume. Or even a plate!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear the sale was such a letdown -- I was looking forward to seeing all the reveals! Last week I was halfway contemplating flying up for a day just to attend the sale. I'm so glad I decided not to.

While I totally agree that as Hermes sales go, this one sucked scissors, I will say (just to be annoyingly positive) that the Soiffer Haskins staff was extremely nice, and I did find a cool, ridiculously luxurious cashmere/leather sweater for my DH, and a sort of moto-inspired black deerskin jacket and a pair of camel, low-heeled boots for me (that, remarkably, fit my chunky--er, athletic--calves). None of which I would ever have even considered purchasing at full retail, so I left content. But it was a total bust for leather goods (not only no bags, but no SLGs, no belts, almost no gloves, jeepers) and a complete disaster for scarfies. I am sorry, scarfies, because you are an awesome bunch, and Hermes owes you a spectacular sale. Seriously.

I would LOVE to see the jacket!! Please do a reveal!!

This is the first time I've ever left a sample sale empty handed.

Lots of shoes and ready to wear. Women's and men's.

There were a few pair of gloves, some bathing suits and some hats.

That's it.

We all wondered why there was hardly any press going in, I don't think 10 people showed up.

And our line was maybe 20 people long? Seriously, the word must have out. Clearly none of us got the message!

But it was great to see old and new friends. Definitely the high point of the day.

:hugs:

Bummer to hear that the sale was less than exciting! When my SA mentioned the sale to me, even she seemed anxious and excited to go see the goodies! I hope everyone at least enjoyed the experience and meetup with everyone, even if they left empty handed...Wish I could make the trip down there to just be a part of the excitement, so thank you all for sharing your photos! Can't wait to see your lucky finds!
