NY Spring 2010 Sale?

I'm planning on being there on Wednesday. What time is reasonable to get in line? I don't mind waiting, even an hour, whatever it takes. I'm only in NYC that day, need to leave as soon as I'm done.

I would imagine the only time there would be an hour wait would maybe be at the middle to end of day. It is the first day of the sale open to the public, so I would imagine there will be a consistent line all day long.
Plus, they only let a certain amount of people in at a time. I would definitley plan on being in line more than an hour..just to be on the safe side.

Anyone else help with this question?????

There is a lot of traffic the first day, so I would plan to be in line by 7:30 or 8 at the latest. It also depends on whether or not you have something specific in mind. If you don't have any particular goal (or grail) in mind, then you don't really need to rise before daybreak to make the very front of the line. You should be in reasonably promptly if you get there by 7:30 or 8. In September they let us in about 10 minutes early, if I recall correctly.

when i went to the september sale, i arrived at 815AM on the first day and was maybe the 20th person in line? and the line grew pretty quickly as it neared 9AM. iirc, they did let us in about 10mins early and while they tried to control the number of people in the room, it did get a bit crowded fast with some aggressive shoppers.

hope that helps!
