I have never regretted not going to H sales before. Because I always heard they didn't really have bags (if they did, it would be usually bags that nobody wanted), RTW clothings were big sizes...etc. But I am REALLY kicking myself not going this time! I could have gone to this sale for very first dip before it's open to public!! AHHHHH...!!!!!!!!!!!! All the Bolides, Plumes, Constances I missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I knew what sale merchandise hoarding looked like until I went this morning. One woman redefined it for me when she literally put her full forearms down in a tray and scooped everything into "her" corner so she could pick through it all. Being unfamiliar with this particular technique, I thought there was no way she was going to claim all of that merchandise, especially with so many of the same item in the pile, so I reached for something in the periphery of the mound. She actually grabbed my hand and moved it from her territory. From her response you would think I was reaching into her bag to take something! :rolleyes:

I was definitely behind Mizhattan when she took the picture of the enamels that is on her website. She took that right before the moon and stars enamel was moved (by me) from the inside of the 2nd arm to the outside.

I go straight to bags (I was in the second elevator of general invites), but there was a woman on the press invite who got to the Cashmere GM c/s first. However, by the time I picked my bags, she made her decision and a lot of the GMs are returned to the counter. (I keep trotting around and have no problems saying excuse me, if you decide not to take X would you please keep me in mind). (I'm shameless lol) Other people do it too. . . There were still TB sapin and bolduc GM c/s hanging around.

Another subtle way of doing it (yes I am shameless) is "OMG, I love that, did you see if there is another one," and if you are charming about it, they may redirect you and/or say if they end up not taking it, they will keep you top of mind. JMO though :)

Also, as I think someone else pointed out, people do refuse bags that they have reserved once they reach the head of the line to pay, so if you are patient, a bag that you want could suddenly reappear. . .

A couple of dear friends gave me a short list of items to look for on their behalf, so while it did bum me out that someone in the line ahead got to the item they wanted (ie the sole 40 paris bombay), I just try to shrug it off.

There is really a lot of stuff there and the sale is replenished daily.
