where is it and when is it open to public?
LV-PRADAfanatic, it's at Metropolitan Pavillion, 4th floor gallery, sale entrance at 123 West 18th Street. It's usually open to public the next day, though I don't know how early.
sleepyjae, no they didn't hand deliver it, though they really could have.
I am planning on going, but each time they have a private sale, I'd either fall sick or am out of town. Fingers crossed I make it to this one.

i just got my invitation today.
last year i think i got there around 11:30 and was pretty close to the front of the line.
they let people in small groups at a time. you have to check your pocketbook and are given a white paper bag. you can only carry your wallet and phone.
it is great fun as long as the weather is good.

At the last private sale - the registers broke and they had to call in all transactions over cell phones...wait was over 1 1/2 hrs to get out of the place-after waiting 2+ to get in...then 1 1/2 shopping/looking. Not really a place for babies...they might not let you in with a baby anyway. I am pregnant and think this might be my last sale for a while!
