Oh yeah, I'm already thinking about New York H sale... :roflmfao:
Does anyone know if it's going to start on the 19th (March) as last year?
DH wants to go away for few days in February / March and... well, I want to make sure I don't miss IT :shame: :graucho:

Haven't heard any specifics on dates yet...everyone is still buzzing about the Paris sale! I've never been to an H sale, but I am always hopeful - maybe I can hit the one in NYC this Spring - in which case, I'm hoping for March!!

I'm going to ask my SA again but so far they didn't know anything about the sales.
And I'll try to call the people at Metropolitan Pavilion but it still may be too soon :sad:

Maybe someone who has good relationship at Madison could ask there...? :shame:

You might want to check the shopping thread. Everyone seems to post the sales dates there. Hope you can get out to the sales! I hear NYC is amazing!

I went to the NY sale last year and it was ok, but honestly I didn't think it was worth standing in line for hours for. Some small discontinued leather goods, nothing spectacular, a lot of scarves so definitely nice if you are a scarfie. RTW that was still quite expensive. Shoes I found mostly impractical... but there's always the thrill of the hunt and you may find something wonderful that's on your list. I don't think I'd go out of my way to attend another one.

For sure NY sale is nothing like the one in Paris - now that's a sale I'd love to go to one day! - but it's better than nothing ;)
Last time I went to the sample sale I did find few things I really liked, including two pairs of shoes (one I reeeeeally wanted) at 60% off; and the sale did help with my decision about giving scarves a try lol I went on the second day and the line wasn't bad at all; when I was leaving there was NO line at all for a moment.
I want to go again and try my luck with a GM... :girlsigh:

Btw, I guess we should distinguish three sales in NY

- sample sale on 18th St. - second half of March...???
- sale at H Madison store - ... ???
- sale at H Wall Street store - ... ???

Hmmm... I think I'd love to go to ALL of them :laugh:

I have been to all the above mentioned sales as well as one at Riverside Square. I have to say, the 18th street is the only place where they will have scarves and ties, so if that's what you want, go to that. The Wall Street sale is usually quite small as their inventory is smaller. Madison and Riverside have decent rtw and shoes, but I purchased the MOST at Riverside. They had a good variety and many sizes. Don't miss it.

I just called Hermes. The sale will be in March sometime and downtown. They said it will be advertised in the NY Times. On the other hand, all of France is having sales on Hermes. kellys, scarves, jewelry etc. Many stores throughout France have a ton of Hermes items on sale ...
