to be honest, since i'm not interested in the birkins, i only noticed that they had them. i saw one that was smallish, like one size smaller than 30, which was surprisingly cute, and then there were a bunch of 30 and bigger. i was surprised to see so many and clearly in practically new condition - though i didn't examine them or anything.
there was one that i've seen posted by another pf member, that is, a bag like one i've seen here. dark inky navy blue with a contrasting lighter blue piping/interior. but anyway, a good number of the birkins (surely more then you ever see in an Hermes boutique).

croc and ostrich bags, i think mostly kelly and plumes.
and a big, maybe 35 or 40cm raisin kelly.
and there was a suede kelly clutch.

Thanks Seton - I'll be there for the french festival and it might be worth a pop-in although your tip about BG sounds very appealing!

Thanks Mich and Callmelulu

I've been researching options for the Kelly, but I would like to try some on to figure out what actually works for me (K28 vs K32, sellier vs retourne, whether the turnlock would drive me nuts). Since I'm new to H and doubt any SA would just offer me four Ks to check out, I am hoping the resellers listed in H shopping might be one way to go.

I live in Boston, and I will be visiting NYC next month. Has anyone seen Ks on a regular basis in any of the brick-and-mortar resellers? LV flies off the shelf whenever they appear in Second Time Around here, and I suspect the same happens with Ks in NYC. I'll probably visit all the resellers and try to get lucky, but I would appreciate hearing what people have experienced. Thanks for your help!

You could try What goes around, comes around. I heard they sometimes have vintage kellys, although apparently in quite worn condition but since you are looking for size references, that wouldn't matter too much.

Might be worth checking out but best to call beforehand to see what they have in stock.

Of course! Those Hermes bags locked in the glass shelves! :D
Yes good idea to check those out.

Haha which place? Last few times they were just sloppily placed on the shelf both places…At Barneys in the past some person would wander over if you picked one up and now no one even bothers coming over…Guess they don't sell many. I always have to resist my urge to put the bags where they belong because the tags don't even match the bags...

Lol, no way haha :D

I think it was when Barneys had that collaboration with Moda Operandi or Heritage (can't remember which of the two) fairly recently.

And now that I think about it, probably not locked but definitely on some glass shelf, showing the over inflated price tags :D

I've seen Ks and Bs at What Goes Around! I saw a beautiful black kelly ostrich with GHW about a month ago. Think I also saw a gold kelly ostrich too. They had other Kelly's too, a couple SOs.

I think they have two locations, but the one I go to is in soho. The SA told me they have a warehouse in NJ or somewhere, so even if there's nothing you are interested in the shop itself, they can ring the warehouse.

LOL purselover888...thought I was the only one who wanted to rearrange the bags so they matched the tags:smile1:
