Wow! Both are drop dead gorgeous! I’m in love with your Caramel Day. One of the prettiest I’ve ever seen, and I’m a long time fan!

Which of these gorgeous babies do you think is easiest to use?

I've had a busy couple of months (been pretty bad ) . One of these I technically received in October, but I sent it off to Lovin my Bags for corner repair & just got it back, so I suppose its more of a November bag

First up, 05 Indigo City
The leather was so dry when I received this one, the tassel for the mirror broke in half when I tried tying it onto the handle.
Its corners were also really bad, so I sent it to Barbara at Lovin my Bags for corner repairs. They turned out pretty good. I think being a darker color is helpful. I used leather conditioner/moisturizer on it and it looks so much better

I also added a second one of CeeJay's bags to my collection. I posted more about this one in the thread dedicated to purchases of her bags, but here's another one. This is 03 Olive Brown (I asked about it in the other thread, but if anyone has any suggestions for adding some shine to the leather, please let me know)

Not so fast -- not done yet!!
I also added this 04 Grey First with silver HW
I love grey bags with silver HW & can't resist that blue edge paint

And saving the best for last . . . .
the holiest of all HG's . . . . .

. . . . . . 2003 Blue Jean First
I never thought this was a color I'd ever have in my collection. Blue bags have always been my weakness & I've wanted a Bbag in this color since I first learned it existed (the only thing that would make me happier, is if I could find a Blue Jean City :graucho:)

Ooh thank you, my sweet friend! 🥰
I wasn't so big on 05 Caramel after purchasing a very washed out and super dry City some time ago. I was underwhelmed, to say the least. Haha.
But this girl is very pretty and salvaged my love for 05 Caramel.

For ease of use definitely the Day(s), hands down. My all time favorite Bal style. They hold a lot more than the hobos, without looking bulky.
Miss FB is coming out for a quick spin today, but she needs some strap surgery before I can really use her without worrying too much.

That Courier is divine. Never seen one in possibly Grenat. Major YUM!
I was looking at the years of production of styles and colors here in reference library. It seems that Courier started in: Courier - S/S 06 to present.....so Bordeaux is 2005 and grenat is 2006, so I assume it is grenat unless they made previous colors the next year too. Will do comparison to the ones I have. I have a twiggy in bordeaux and work in grenat.

I missed a while ago a bordeaux or grenat weekender on TRR, ooooh, that would be a dream come true, and the price. I dont mind beat up bag in that color, because it suits it well

Two mystery colors arrived.

One is a ME chevre City. I've seen these before. FP has called this color Bleu Paon, but it has the same color code as Lagon, and clearly not the same color as Lagon. It's a deep teal that mostly leans blue, but in the warm direct sunlight can look hella green. Pardon the multiple photos as this color is near impossible to capture.

The next is a Hook in a shape/size I hadn't seen before. I posted it in the Finds thread hoping someone would rescue me, but the scrumptious leather overwhelmed my resistance in mere minutes after I posted it. And I'm glad it did. The leather is divine. The color is, do I dare say, 07 Plomb? That's my best guess. I owned a brand new Plomb work before and this one isn't exactly that color. There's a faint purple hue to the cool gray, while Plomb, as I remember, was a pure dark gray. I just don't know any other color that comes close, besides Plomb. Open to thoughts.

The Hook is not as wide as the Work, but it's quite a bit deeper. As always, it comes with shoulder strap rings, but no shoulder strap. The handles are long enough to comfortably wear over the shoulder. See comparison next to a Work.

May all your Ban Island detentions be this fruitful!

You sure the Hook isn't a faded ink?

You sure the Hook isn't a faded ink?
I thought that was a possibility, but it just doesn't look like a faded ink. It looks dark gray to the naked eye. In my experience, faded colors are never this uniformly faded, and they look obviously washed out because of the fading. The color on this is deep and saturated. It's a color I've never seen before (and I've seen and owned faded ink). Also the leather is unlike the leather on ink, though I suppose super fluffy ink leather is possible. Made me wonder if they made special colors just for the Hook, but that would be insane.
