I have a French Blue Work w/GGH and the leather is very supple on it. Were there different FB leathers in 07? Or maybe I just got a good one??Yep. A lot of the leather that first season was a shocking departure from all the yumminess that preceded it. Even S/S 07 had some pretty bad leathers before the legendary F/W 07 made us all swoon. Some of the worst leather of S/S 07 was on Vert Gazon and French Blue, gorgeous colors on sandpaper leather.
The Dolma & the Graffiti City are both so incredibly lovely. Great scores! That Dolma leather….Also I did break the ban but who wouldn't? An almost new, with tags, 05 dolma Day.

This is indeed, more likely. it does seem like the change in leather coincided with the market drowning in output.
You got a good one. I‘ve seen your yummy work, but many FBs were stiff and dry. I got a FB Day when they just came out but couldn’t bear the leather. It was rough and sandpapery. Gave me heebee jeebees to touch it. Same with Vert Gazon. I remember the batches later in the S/S season were softer, but the first run was a disaster for those gorgeous colors.

I think Dolma is the quintessential Bal color. it flys under the radar, mostly because it’s nearly impossible to capture it’s unique color in photos.
