OT: What is with all the avatars with a just a letter in them. Most seem to be new members. Is this the default avatar new members are given when they don't choose anything? I am finding it so distracting because I think it is the same person then realize it is not :)

I've been wondering the same thing. Super confusing.

See feedback section...I think it looks great!

I have never shopped for anything for the "brand" or "exclusivity". I buy because it's affordable for me, I like it, and the quality is good. Yes, Coach has had problems with quality...so has every other brand on here. I still think the majority of the time the quality is outstanding. I have bags I have had for years and they still look great. I have loved their policies as well. I buy more because of their return policy. There will always be people who abuse policies. (in Coach's case...bait and switch, returning used, etc.) I can't remember if I mentioned that years ago I worked for Macy's. A customer came in to return underwear (unworn) in a pkg. No receipt. He said his wife passed away and he was returning it. She had bought it two years ago...(they could tell from tags). In training they told us that it would not hurt the bottom line to take returns...so many felt indignant about it, but Macy's believed in great customer service and understanding that if properly done, it would KEEP customers, not drive them away. And it's true for many businesses.

Still LOVE the good leather Coach....:balloon:

I just placed an order on the phone for a chestnut Phoebe. I was told I couldn't use either my PCE or my Facebook coupon. I said that I was aware the PCE excluded Phoebe but that no where does it say on my FB coupon it's excluded. She honored it.

Great!! Let's meet back here after we've inspected our Chestnut Phoebes, and compare notes :smile1:.

They got rid of coupons and sales, (and insulted their customers by comparing people who used coupons to drug addicts!)...

Yeah I remembered how JCP pi$$ed people off when they said they'd wean JCP shoppers off the "drug" (coupon). Being a couponer I was especially offended by the arrogance. Sure enough the no coupon no sale policy had brought the biggest disaster to JCP.

Later in 2012 they desperately try to repair the damage by offering coupons and sales again. Their giving out "Christmas buttons", no purchase required, was the "drug" that finally lured me bac to JCP. I had won $170 worth of gift certificate BTW, and had started shopping at JCP again (well you kinda HAVE to with all that gift certificate).

I never had a problem with JCP's new format...the prices were very good. I shop for my work clothes there because they have a great selection of petite tops and blouses. My JCP also has an awesome Sephora! No more driving 45 minutes to the next mall to get my skin care.

While I likely wont buy (m)any boutique bags at $1k+ I'm game for Coach to differentiate MFF vs. boutique. So, have at it! Oh, and when I want to buy a bag, I want to buy a designer bag, not a MFF bag. MFF price, yes. MFF design, no.

I'm not either. While I think they may do something to differentiate MFF from FP a little more, there's no way it is going to be to the extreme mentioned in the first post.

Coach would lose a LOT of their customer base, and it would just be an all around idiotic move.

None of us (unless theres high level involvement) knows what Coach will or won't do.
