Not loving the microblading, advice

My brows are incredibly uneven and it’s really obvious in many pictures. I was in the late 90s, pencil thin generation and they never grew back correctly. I asked her just to even them out and felt she went way too heavy.
my brows are very sparse so I'd be a candidate for this but I'm kinda scared of not getting a good result so I just fill them in with makeup

I think if you are used to heavily filling them in then it wouldn’t be as overwhelming. I semi started lightly filling them in about 6 months ago but not every day and it was very faint. It was also only what was already kind of there, it appears my artist gave me a shape that doesn’t even remotely resemble the old one. Perhaps take good pictures of your fill in brows so she knows exactly what you are hoping for. I will say I read in my after panic that you should be weary with artists who use solely stencils and mine whipped out a big pile of them. She adjusted the stencil a bit to how I felt about it but I’m honestly not sure she really listened at this point. Ugh.

a friend recommended one who was supposed to be excellent but expensive and far away (maybe two hours). I was not willing to make three trips all that distance
I went for a consult closer to home but just wasn't sold on it
GL with yours....hopefully they will settle down

I think you look great either way, don't be so hard on yourself! It's always jarring when we are used to seeing ourselves a certain way and then suddenly look in the mirror and see something different, but other people likely don't even notice. I'd give this a little time, it will fade like it or not, I don't think I would do any touch-ups though.

Thanks everyone. I have an appointment with another spa in the morning to see about taking it off. I simply can’t look like this, I know it’ll fade but the shape will be about the same and I just don’t like it. I’ll keep everyone updated.

A close friend is a dermatologist. See a doctor about removal.

But don’t jump to remove them so soon. Seriously they will fade about 30-40%

Is there a reason to see a dermatologist? When I’ve looked up removal, all the places that show up are med spa places. It seems dermatologists only offer laser tattoo removal which I’ve heard is not suitable for microblading and can destroy your existing hair follicles. The med spas do a laserless procedure. The med spas I’ve spoken with said to come in sooner rather than later for a better removal result.

when it comes to lasers, medspas aren't the place I'd go to UNLESS I'm being seen by the doctor and not an aestician.

Your skin is still healing from the mircoblading, so to then go on top of it with a laser or laserless procedure, seems dangerous.

Oh, I’m not planning a laser procedure, and none of the med spas offer one.

The procedure is called phiremoval. The aestician who had good reviews on google said to come in sooner rather than later because the ink would come out easier before it was healed.

I had mine done a couple of months ago and I remember thinking I'd made a HUGE mistake for the first 2 weeks. Now they've faded about 30-40% and look soft and natural.

Honestly, I think your browns look great...it's just different than what you're used to. Maybe you'll decide you like them once they heal?

I'm sorry you're unhappy with you microblading results! I can see how uneven your original brows were, so the microblading did fill them in nicely. But I agree the new shape doesn't follow your natural brow shape, which is likely why they look so jarring on you. And it's a shame the technician relied on stencils! That's a warning sign to go elsewhere.

However, I think you should proceed with caution about getting them removed so quickly. Since your brows are still healing, you don't want to do more damage to your skin and risk scarring. I have no idea how it can be removed, but if it involves more needling, that would add a lot of stress to an area that is still sensitive and healing.

Also, your brows will lighten a lot in the next few weeks! Even by next week, you'll notice some ink flaking off, leaving a lighter coloured brow. It will look patchy for a few days (the worst part of the healing process IMO) but your brows will look much lighter. And eventually they will fade to your natural shape again, which is why microblading needs to be redone every year or so.

I had micoblading done in May and was very pleased with the results. My technician drew the shape for my approval prior to microblading it. She didn't use a stencil. My touch-up was delayed by a month but it turned out fine. The touch-up is essential to cover missed spots where the ink didn't absorb properly. I even got a second touch-up to cover one tiny gap on the right brow.

I wish you luck and hope the removal process works if you decide to pursue it!

Please don't panic. You are SO early in the process, And please...don't try removal now...let your brows get healed before you let another person touch them. This is a tattoo and you do NOT want to mess with it before it is decently healed.
Microblading is stressful but you are too early in to make a judgment that could lead to a permanent issue (whereas waiting won't hurt, you cannot undo what's done until it has healed).

I can’t figure out how they would remove the microblading. I’ve had mine done a couple of times and my fear would be that you’re going to make the situation worse. As everyone is saying they’ll lighten up quite a bit once they’ve healed and I think you run the risk of infection and/or scaring. How would they remove dye that’s permeated your skin? Did the person you talked to explain the procedure?

I think they look okay, knowing that they will fade some. In the meantime to balance out the heavy brow I would be inclined to wear some more eye makeup. With some shadow, liner, mascara, the brows themselves wouldn't look so intense as they do on an un-madeup face.
