UGH Nordstrom. They cancelled part of my order from this weekend saying that the item is sold out. Now it is available on their website plus it is showing up as available in stores (not near me) but for a higher price.

Im afraid of this happening too..they shipped out one item from my order but the other one hasn't shipped yet. I still see it on their website so they better not cancel on me!

This happened to me too with an item I ordered 11/30. Just place an order again now that they have stock, if you want to be on the safe side you can wait until it ships, then live chat and have them adjust the price for the lesser amount. You'll just have to provide them with the order number from the cancelled order. You have two weeks from the date of cancelled order to do adjustments. Hth.

Which department store do you guys like to shop at more? I love the customer service at Nordstrom, they go above and beyond for their clients. Neiman carries more high end designers than certain Nordstrom stores do, unless it's a very high class Nordstrom. I like both stores though, but because of their client service I go to Nordstrom more and even Nordstrom rack often has nice designers
I recommend the Neiman Marcus after Christmas sale. I'll tell you in advance... it's a zoo... at least in L.A. but you can get amazing deal on super high-end merchandise.

I love both! I get better deals at NM, and NM customer service has impressed me a lot lately, although they are still a tad behind Nordies for customer service. But, Nordstrom has an amazing loyalty program and NM's program sucks! They both have a place in my heart. :)

I'm an equal opportunity shopper, from thrift stores to Neiman Marcus and almost everything in-between, except those stores that target those (considerably) younger than myself!

Nordstrom customer service in general is superb. Neiman SA's are hit and miss but my shoe SA there is wonderful. Macy's readily adjusted the Friends and Family pricing on a set of china I recently bought that didn't ring up correctly the first time.

For high end goods, I prefer Saks, Barney's, then Bergdorf/NM. Others like Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Macy's have been great in some cases. For certain makers of clothes, like Moncler, Burberry or St John, I go to their brand stores (available in Chicago).

NM just cancelled my order for a pair of Valentino rockstuds that were on sale. I'm bummed.

Why did you cancel it? My story was different, after being on a hunt for the poudre rs, I finally found them on the nm website. I placed my order and it said it would be delivered within the week, I checked the status 3 days later and my order was cancelled! I called cs and they said they were on backorder, I was so upset, they didn't even send me an e-mail, I had to find out by calling them myself! That turned me off, so I went to my nordstroms and they ordered some for me. I've owned them for two years now and only wore them once lol.

I placed an order with Neiman Marcus on 28 Dec and they say they will only deliver on 8 Jan! Are they always so slow? I never would have made the purchase if I had known!

I ordered items on Dec 26 and received one item yesterday, one will be delivered on the 5th, and the final item is estimated to be delivered on the 8th, but I haven't received the actual shipping confirmation for it yet.

@Arlene619, I didn't cancel it. Neiman's cancelled it claiming the item had been discontinued which is ridiculous. They have these shoes all over their website and in their stores. Left a bad taste in my out after that.

Thanks your your reply. I had read a lot of negative reviews about NM and was worried that they had simply forgotten about the order. Will just have to be patient in the meantime.
