Ted Baker is shutting down all of their US standalone stores... I'm not sure if that means they're also going to pull out of department stores like Nordstrom/Bloomingdale's too

I saw the Vegas store was closing but didn’t realize it was a complete shutdown in North America.

I know someone wrote about missing brands in the sale but I am surprised that Aquatalia is not listed this year. Was hoping they would have a pair of black booties this year. They wear so well and are comfortable and waterproof. But then so are Blondo for a fraction of the cost so I'll probably get these

Also surprised North Face isn't part of the sale (can't remember if they were last year) but I have several of their coats in various lengths and degrees of warmth and they wear super well - I've had mine for years.

I guess they have dropped the La Ligne line and Ted Baker doesn't seem to have any more clothes. Granted I never purchased either brand so maybe I answered my own question.

I know Nordstrom recently rebranded their own in house brand so I am assuming what is labeled as Nordstrom now is what used to be Nordstrom signature. There are a few pieces from that line I'm looking at

I know I'll definitely be getting a Chantelle bra and Wacoal panties and Jason Markk repel spray for shoes - I remember trying to get some shoe kit from last year's sale and it sold out right away. Only jewelry this year (so far) will be the MV snake chain in silver. I buy jewelry from their website when they have black friday and end of year sales so I am not in any hurry for more right now. My mom wants the John Hardy pearl station bracelet so that will probably be added to the list as well. Still deciding on a black coat - probably Sam Edelman

It's an awful lot of black and gray (it's just so easy and let's face it slimming) so I'll have to look for a more cheerful top or scarf to add to my list. All in all I'm happy with the selection being offered. So far saving money over past years and that's never a bad thing but then I haven't seen everyone else's recommendations yet.

Those black boots are super cute. I noticed DANSKO had some that I might have to add but I really don’t *need*.

Thank you - I know it's too early in the game to see what you really end up with. Wanting/needing blends together for me during this sale. I plan to spend some time looking through what I already have to make sure I'm filling in the gaps first. I bought a few beautiful Vince sweaters a lot cheaper after last year's sale from the Rack which looked as if they had never been tried on wrapped in tissue in original packaging. I'm still eyeing that Frank and Eileen popover. Waiting to see what the colors look like in person. Just looks so darn comfy.

I have to say I LOVE Frank & Eileen! I’ve been wearing their Pearl shorts in navy all the time. They are pricey but great quality.

I have to say I’m really disappointed in the Frank & Eileen pieces offered. I didn’t care for the colors. Luckily I’ve purchased quite a bit from them directly when they have sales. I love their thrills fleece pieces.

Frank and Eileen has the best sales. Do they still have the 70% off everything every spring? I used to go nuts during that one and buy things like tank tops that I’m just not gonna spend $100 on. They have awesome hoodies too.

PS I just considered for at least 2 to 3 minutes whether Frank and Eileen should be singular or plural in that first sentence.

Y'all I am in my feelings about the missing $200 notes. Welp, I wanted a silk blouse for two years in a row. I happened to inquire about Vince with you ladies and received positive feedback. My mind told me to check other stores where Vince is sold. Lo and behold some of the same silk blouses that are on Nordstrom regular site is on sale at Nordstrom Rack for a fraction. Talking about New! Welp, I purchased two silk Vince blouses. How much did I save...let's do the math

I found out a week or two about this. I have always liked Ted baker items I would generally buy on sale. I have a few concerts coming up and wanted to see what glitter/shimmer tees or tanks they had out right now only to find out that they are closing. Very disappointing. I will say that I haven’t liked much of what they put out the past few years. I liked thier preplum sweaters, the shimmery tees/tanks, and the giant bows.

Just watch the sale items, a few sweaters last year were listed as 100% cashmere and when they arrived they were blends

True. I don’t buy as many sweaters as I used to. The prices are high and it takes quite a bit of work to keep them in shape. I’m always paranoid about ruining them!

it was ~5800 items this morning! I was going to post that maybe they’re adding more items/brands closer to the go-live date. I noticed Stila isn’t offering anything this year and I wanted to get more liquid eyeliners.

Update - I must be an idiot! Just noticed I somehow selected search options for my store only. Now it shows 5815 - Thank goodness. Also did get my catalog this morning.

I am so sad to hear the news about Ted Baker. I have several of his dresses I purchased over the years as part of this sale and always liked the styling and quality.

I am still working my way through the anniversary sale items and I think the L’agence pieces are beautiful. Might have to have the black and tan cardigan sweater jacket! There is a gorgeous St John dress and jacket that is not in my budget and I don’t need, unfortunately. Lastly, I am looking at the Geox respira white sneakers (which are great shoes for walking) there is also a pair of picolinos block heeled sandals that I might try.

I love the Blondo boots I have bought them in the past anniversary sales - but they're sizing is tricky! Sometimes they are true to size and sometimes they run small. You might want to order more than one size to be sure!
