Some things, pop ups are still on the way. I so enjoy this sale, because to me it’s like a fun game, because if I don’t get one thing I usually get something just as good, sometimes I like even better.. they are just things.

I decided to buy a complete new fall casual wardrobe. I've resisted a big change from my old "I work in a Corp HQ office" era to "I am a remote worker" for the past 4+ years. So now that I'm doing this, I'm sure a RTO notice will be forthcoming!

Here's what I bought from the sale--a whole lotta shades of blue:

• 2 pairs of Joe's jeans - Lara Ankle Cigarette and Provocateur bootcut, both in petite cut. The fit is TTS on both--the bootcut are a bit longer than I'd like but will work with heeled boot so that's good.
• 4 Caslon Long Sleeve V-neck shirt in white, navy, blue lake and burnt olive. These are lightweight (thin) so they'll make a good layering piece for fall.
• Caslon Long Sleeve Thermal Polo in navy. I really like the casual look of this one, also, it's not too heavy so I think it will work out.
• 2 Halogen Button Cuff Crewneck Sweaters in vintage indigo blue and clear blue sky. These are lightweight sweaters in a cotton blend. Sometimes sweaters make me feel suffocated so I'm careful with the synthetic blends.
• Halogen Oversized Colorblock cardigan in Marble Heather blue. It was love at first sight for this one! It wasn't on my list but the color combination perfectly complement jeans. It's oversized but not sloppy. Also, it's 100% cotton.
• Caslon Cardigan in Tan Sugar/Ivory Cloud stripe. I love this one too--it's not oversized 100% cotton.
• Halogen Long Sleeve Crew Neck shirt in vintage indigo blue. This one is a rayon/spandex blend and has a nice sheen (not like a t-shirt). It will work layered under a sweater or blazer for a bit more dressy look.
• Halogen Absolute Camisole in vintage indigo blue as a layering piece.
• Caslon V-neck T-shirt in blue lake. This one is a bit heavier cotton blend but the color is so pretty, I couldn't resist!

Not part of the sale but purchases none the less!

• Adidas Samba Cloud White / Halo Blue / Off White, gum soles. I love, love this color combination! These weren't part of the sale, I found them on the Adidas website.
• Nike InfinityRN 4 running shoes in White/Dusty Cactus/Green Strike. These weren't part of the sale either, I found them on sale on the Nike website. They are so comfortable, the support and cushion are awesome.
• North Face Aphrodite Capri in Steel Blue, Navy, High Rise Grey and Dune. I love these pants for working out and running around. I've been wearing these for the past 5 or 6 years and finally needed to replace.
• Solawave ran a Prime sale with a 40% discount on almost everything (today's the last day). I picked up Refreshing Jelly Mist and the Skin Therapy Activating Serum.
• 5 Clinique lipsticks during the Nat'l Lipstick Day sale. I just cleaned out my vanity so I needed some replacements. I was stroked to find them 40% off!

Could you tell me which Clinique lipstick colors you bought? I was at Ulta last week and they convinced me to buy the Black Honey. It’s too sheer for me. I had it on today when I went to my Nordstrom. I saw four sales girls talking and asked where the Clinique counter was for national lipstick day. They gave me a handout listing the participants, most of which are on sale tomorrow and not today. I went to the Clinique counter and one of the girls followed me. I said I wasn’t sure what I wanted and asked for help. She replied I should swipe them on my hand and decide and walked off. I was floored. Decided I’d skip it and could go to Ulta. Then I saw an older man and he came over to Clinique. I told him I didn’t have to get Clinique and he took me to Lancôme and gave the service I expected. He let me buy them at the sale price for tomorrow. I ended up getting three Lancôme lipsticks with his help, a full price bronzer, and two sets of the Oribe hair sprays that I buy each year. I mentioned the poor service the other woman gave and asked for his business card for future purchases. He said Nordstrom no longer gives them cards, but now I know his name for future help. That’s the extent of my shopping this year. I used to spend 1500 at the sale and barely buy anything now. I think I spent 190 today. I still might get some Clinique lipsticks if I can pick some colors.

I was thinking about all the things that I used to buy every year during NAS. Antica Farmacista diffusers were an annual NAS purchase for me, but no more. They occasionally have discounts on their website, and they send free sample cards which are great for the car.

I used to buy the giant bottle of Philosophy facial cleanser, the Bobbi Brown lip tint duo, and other things that used to appear every year. No wonder my Nordstrom spending has declined!

I have brown hair and light skin (not super light but not tan) and I prefer to wear nude shades, so I bought:

Dramatically Different lipstick in Blushing Nude (my go-to, rose) and Sugared Maple (I haven't seen this one yet, but I read that it was close to a discontinued color so I'm trying it). This is full coverage and they have a nice finish and easy to apply.

Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm in Whole Lotta Honey (nude and Bountiful Blush (nude/rose shade). These are not quite full cover, they can definitely be layered--most of the time I use a lip liner like (Lip Blush, nude/rose shade) to line and fill in and then use the chubby stick to add some extra color.

They also have some new Pop lipsticks, which I haven't tried yet, in a range of shiny, satin, matte finished. There's a color guide on the product page that has all the names and samples on various skin tones.

I love Black Honey--exactly because it's sheer. I usually wear it when I'm running around, for a dinner or something I would go with a fuller coverage.

Thank you! I have pale skin, blue eyes and silver hair. I usually wear brighter colors in reds, orange coral and pinks. I’ll order a few and can always layer if need be.

So true! The pop back I really wanted was the Nordstrom cashmere hoodie and I caught it and shipped and arrived last week and fit. Anything at this point is gravy with a biscuit without worrying about my old lady metabolism which has forgotten how to work.

Took me a long time to catch pop backs of this sweater in my size but I love it! It's so soft and no itch at all. I really love the grey mineral and grey plum colors Nordies had in this sale, I was able to get both in this sweater.

I received the Vince Cashmere wrap. The material is soft and I really like the grey color. If traveling it won’t add bulk which is good. It would be a great addition to someone else’s closet. LOL I am now realizing (after waiting for arrival) that I most likely would not use it because I have 3 different color J. Crew oversized cashmere wraps that are still in the package.
