Gosh, been so busy with house stuff I havent been able to pop in here for a few days. It seems like this thread has died off a bit in general, which makes sense as the sale dwindles down.

I have been seeing a lot more pop backs lately which also havent been selling out as fast, which is good!! Its nice to not feel rushed to try and get something. I'm still debating getting the silvery pair of frank & eileen catherine sweats, I like the color but I'm also wondering if I should just wait for when other funner colors go on sale because I know it will eventually happen!

I popped into Michigan Ave (Chicago) yesterday just too see if there was anything hiding from my wishlist... nothing to report! They have done a lot of consolidation of NAS items, putting multiple brands' worth of garments onto single racks. All nicely organized with yellow tag, and honestly it saved me a lot of time instead of aimlessly looking around.

If you're still looking for beauty department items and able to shop in-store, there might be some cool events happening for you today! Yesterday was FUN FUN FUN with a DJ, lots of brands doing makeovers, a flurry of activity! And they were doing the same thing today.

Also traded in my scratch-off for a $5 gift card... on the list it looked like people had only been redeeming those for $5, nothing higher.

AG denim - Harlow and Ex boyfriend. Fits great but Harlow hits me funny on ankle and looks stumpy. Need to try with boots. Do these stretch? The size seems good but concerned they will stretch.
Rag Bone denim. Thicker, more rigid around waist. Might just go with AG

AGL Naomi almond toe flats in tan. Ordered the black too just in case - hopefully not too dressy.

Lole pipe rain coat. Ordered tan then saw the olive pop back so grabbed that. Have not tried in person.

Dolce Vita mules in black. I like them and are comfortable. Just need to think about it.
Clarins double cleanser (unopened). Return. Just think it's too expensive and they forgot to send me the GWP.
Frame gathered seam dress. Super cute but I don't waear a lot of dresses. We'll see

Biggest disappointment - Clear frame inverse lens Ray-Bans. So cute but the frames feel sooo cheap! Tight and squeaky and feels crooked. Can they maybe help adjust them? I give up. I also cry that Antica Farmacista is not included in the sale! Waaah

I finally got my BD Cardigan yesterday (in Coal with is sold out online) and I adore it. This will be on my back all winter since I work from home.

I managed to get one in XL I really wanted 1X or 2X so I don't know if it will even fit. I did manage to find a really nice flannel at LLBean on clearance and they were able to order it for me in my size with honoring the sale price. So even if the BFD cardigan is too small I'll be covered for my winter around house shirt.

So far my wins for the sale are pretty small. The minotonka slippers, a calson tee, and a few bras. Very meager finds compared to years past.

I vote wait not just because there will be other colors (there definitely will), but also because I’m totally guilty of buying a new thing and loving it after trying it on and then immediately buying more colors, and then either (1) noticing things I don’t love after wearing/washing the first color and wondering why I didn’t wait to buy more until after I actually tried it, or (2) wearing the first color all the time because that has always been my favorite and wondering why I bought other colors that I liked a teeny bit less. Sometimes I even wish I’d bought two of the same gold medal color instead of one gold and one silver.

Can you tell I’m in therapy for this?

Well I think this is the year of the jacket for me.

I ended up buying in pop backs (none of which were in my original wants)
The Free People Pippa jacket in both white and silver in small
Max Mara Greenmo jacket. Size 8 which is smaller then my size
Nordstrom Leather Bomber jacket large
Travis Matthew Tahoe Quilted jacket large

I ended up ordering these Veronica Beard shoes in natural based on a post here.
And these Uggs in chestnut but ended up returning for these Ugg slides instead had to order up 1/2 size, ordered both black and chestnut.

Other than that I think I’m most excited for the Nordstrom cashmere hoodies I was able to snag, and the shorts set of Barefoot Dreams. I bought a bunch of Clinique lipsticks based on a post from here yesterday. Managed to snag these jammies even though they are $10 more than last year. I have two sets and weare them on the regular. I love the material.

I got an email earlier on asking for feedback on the icon event. I gave it a 6 out of 10 for my part. There wasn’t enough food, the help from sales associates was lacking, the products were more expensive and less quality as in years past. The whole scratch off ticket was a mess, I tried to redeem mine on a purchase and was told I had to mail it in. I live a hour away so I’m not driving back up for the five bucks. Just overall less than previous years.

If you like the Madewell bracelet, I would check out what they have at the Madewell store. They have the gold version of the bracelet and a matching necklace in both the silver and gold tone. I have all of it and they must’ve pulled the silver tone for the Anni sale because they stopped selling it about seven months ago.

I decided to buy a complete new fall casual wardrobe. I've resisted a big change from my old "I work in a Corp HQ office" era to "I am a remote worker" for the past 4+ years. So now that I'm doing this, I'm sure a RTO notice will be forthcoming!

Here's what I bought from the sale--a whole lotta shades of blue:

• 2 pairs of Joe's jeans - Lara Ankle Cigarette and Provocateur bootcut, both in petite cut. The fit is TTS on both--the bootcut are a bit longer than I'd like but will work with heeled boot so that's good.
• 4 Caslon Long Sleeve V-neck shirt in white, navy, blue lake and burnt olive. These are lightweight (thin) so they'll make a good layering piece for fall.
• Caslon Long Sleeve Thermal Polo in navy. I really like the casual look of this one, also, it's not too heavy so I think it will work out.
• 2 Halogen Button Cuff Crewneck Sweaters in vintage indigo blue and clear blue sky. These are lightweight sweaters in a cotton blend. Sometimes sweaters make me feel suffocated so I'm careful with the synthetic blends.
• Halogen Oversized Colorblock cardigan in Marble Heather blue. It was love at first sight for this one! It wasn't on my list but the color combination perfectly complement jeans. It's oversized but not sloppy. Also, it's 100% cotton.
• Caslon Cardigan in Tan Sugar/Ivory Cloud stripe. I love this one too--it's not oversized 100% cotton.
• Halogen Long Sleeve Crew Neck shirt in vintage indigo blue. This one is a rayon/spandex blend and has a nice sheen (not like a t-shirt). It will work layered under a sweater or blazer for a bit more dressy look.
• Halogen Absolute Camisole in vintage indigo blue as a layering piece.
• Caslon V-neck T-shirt in blue lake. This one is a bit heavier cotton blend but the color is so pretty, I couldn't resist!

Not part of the sale but purchases none the less!

• Adidas Samba Cloud White / Halo Blue / Off White, gum soles. I love, love this color combination! These weren't part of the sale, I found them on the Adidas website.
• Nike InfinityRN 4 running shoes in White/Dusty Cactus/Green Strike. These weren't part of the sale either, I found them on sale on the Nike website. They are so comfortable, the support and cushion are awesome.
• North Face Aphrodite Capri in Steel Blue, Navy, High Rise Grey and Dune. I love these pants for working out and running around. I've been wearing these for the past 5 or 6 years and finally needed to replace.
• Solawave ran a Prime sale with a 40% discount on almost everything (today's the last day). I picked up Refreshing Jelly Mist and the Skin Therapy Activating Serum.
• 5 Clinique lipsticks during the Nat'l Lipstick Day sale. I just cleaned out my vanity so I needed some replacements. I was stroked to find them 40% off!

• Aves les Filles Plaid Dickey Blazer. It's super cute but it's too heavy for a blazer and I don't need another coat. I live in S. Cal so I don't think I'll get much use from it.
• Nic+Zoe Knit Cotton Utility Jacket in black. I didn't care for the fabric, I can't explain it but it just didn't work out.
• Also returned NYDJ Theresa Wide Leg jeans and Kut From Kloth Catherine Boyfriend jeans. They both fit TTS but the cuts didn't work out.
