My low and high today:

Low: My OnTrac package is nowhere to be found. It said it got delivered behind the gate. I live on a private street, which means the gate is not at my house. I checked around within 20 minutes of it being delivered and cannot find it at my house, at the gate, or any of my neighbors. Great, awesome 😓 And it was the Isabel Marant sweatshirt that’s sold out. I contacted customer service and they said they will submit a claim to the delivery research team and that I would hear back from them. The worst experience I’ve had regarding the same situation required me to file a police report of all the items in the package and then submit it to Nordstrom before they agreed to refund me (total was about $300).

High: My SA texted me this morning with:

Needless to say, I should be done with the anniversary sale now. And I will need to go through my other purchases to return some more items 🫣

Thats good! I also am in a similar boat- I bought a pair of pants from Tibi once they went to 70% off. Even after that, they were still around $200 or so but that being said Ive had my eye on them for a while and figured it made more sense to get those than to force myself to keep some stuff I got from the anniversary sale.

I think for me I'm at about $800-$900 in purchases from this sale- Half of that was for new house stuff that we needed (we are closing on our first home next Friday!! Im scared.. lol), while the rest was some beauty stuff I needed and a few new clothing pieces. I do still want to grab another beauty item or two but I'm waiting to make my final decision.

I've been stalking the cashmere wrap in black since it sold out on Icons night and finally caught a popback about 15 minutes ago. I'm pessimistic that it will actually ship, but you never know...I caught a popback of the AG wide leg jeans that were so popular in size 27 and they actually shipped, so you never know! I'll report back and let you know whether it cancels, or my thoughts once I receive it, since I haven't seen anyone else comment on it yet.

Beauty Bash at Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, CA was poppin off! Tried to have the $15 coupon transferred to a gift card but they wouldn't do that. Used it to purchase a YSL Lip Gloss and ran out of there so fast because it was crowded and loud and I didn't feel like buying stuff I didn't need to get the gift bag.

Now off to return home and retreat to my quiet cave.

Only the socks were available at my store, so I shipped everything. Should be here next Thursday

The red Reiss coat popped back in my size just now so I ordered it, but then I read the neg reviews. Is 3sassypups a member here? I’ve seen her reviews on a few of the items I’ve purchased over the years, so we have similar taste.

I received my first order in two boxes this week:

Espresso beans: strong but smooth, no sour notes. I bought the decaf. Just ok, worth a try at the sale price.

Nordstrom men’s dress socks: i thought were for sure keepers are so long! They’re nearly knee highs. I joked with DH he can wear them with mandals and shorts belted around his nipples. These are returns. Very soft cotton though.

Vince Kline boots: the sole is supposedly water repellant but is barely textured and looks “made for outlet” cheap. I would not pay the NAS price for these. Maybe $200 if they’re further discounted later on.

Still waiting for gold MV heirloom chain earrings and I caved and ordered the Madewell denim shirt. I also reordered the red Reiss coat and was almost disappointed when it shipped. I’ll post pics if it’s not too horrendous.

(About me: 5'2", 130 lbs, hourglass shape with small shoulders/chest (32B) and large bum/hips. I typically wear a size 6 or 8).

Hits:

Open Edit Foldover Off the Shoulder Short Sleeve Rib Sweater
Color: Ivory Dove
Size: Medium
I watched a try on/haul where the creator didn't care for this top, so I wasn't too optimistic. But I was pleasantly surprised: it is a very substantial knit and the quality is excellent. I would say it runs a tad small, so I'm glad I went with the medium.

Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole Abigail Bow Pump
Color: Black Leather
Size: 7.5M
Just so classically prep in the best possible way! I liked the look of these, but didn't necessarily "need" another pair of black leather flats, so I wasn't planning to keep them unless I truly LOVED them. *sigh* I really truly love them. The 1" stacked heel and grosgrain bow really make these. The reviews are not favorable, and mention the toe box being too narrow. I found them to be true to size, and they fit my feet perfectly, but I have narrow-ish feet.

Natori Understated Underwire T-Shirt Bra
Color: Glaze
Size: 32B
I have a hard time finding nude-toned bras that are actually the color of my skin. The "Glaze" color is perfect. However, I stupidly listened to the guidance in the reviews to size up in both band and cup size. Lies, fairytales, fallacies! I exchanged the 34C (which was perfectly ridiculous on me) for my usual 32B. I will purchase multiples of this if it comes back in stock in my size.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Belted Wool Blend Wrap Coat
Color: Moda Cream
Size: 8
Oh. My. Goodness. This coat is just HEAVENLY. I was afraid it might look too bathrobe-like, being a wrap coat...especially in the ivory color...but it is so, so beautiful. Fully lined. I am a sucker for a completely over-the-top wide, notched lapel. It is very much a full-length coat on my 5'2" frame, but I'm fine with that. It is definitely a statement piece. The fit guidance says it runs small and to order 1 size up, but I actually think it's pretty TTS. The 8 is just perfect for me, and allows enough room to wear over thick knitwear.

Steve Madden Joanna Long Sleeve Shirtdress
Color: Black
Size: Medium
This piece wasn't on my radar until I saw an influencer try it on in the olive color (Marnie Goldberg, maybe?), and it looked amazing on her. I think the green is really special, but decided the black was probably more versatile. This looks and feels way, way more expensive than it is, and I truly don't understand why more people aren't talking about this dress?? I think this will be a great fall/winter transition piece paired with tights and tall boots. True to size.

Nordstrom Demi Fine Freshwater Pearl Pendant Necklace
Color: Gold
Okay, so here's why this is special: it can be worn in a variety of lengths! It has little spacers/extenders along the necklace, so you can adjust it to suit your neckline/preference! Really, really pretty and well made. Would make a lovely gift.

Misses:

Eliza J Pintuck Fitted Sheath Dress
Color: Hunter
Size: Medium
Truly one of the most horrible things I have ever had the misfortune of seeing on my body. This just straight up did NOT fit me: it was huge in some places, and way too snug in others. Also the neckline was way higher on me than on the model--and I do not have a short neck, so...? The reviews are good, so it looks like this is just a "me" problem. I will say the hunter green color is beautiful though.

Color: Grey Moonbeam
Size: Medium
Another item that wasn't on my radar until I saw others try it on. I thought these might make a great travel pant. Not sure what to expect in terms of the color. Will keep you posted.

Coach Hutton Box Leather Shoulder Bag
Color: Saddle
I *just* snagged this on a pop-back this afternoon, and I'm so hoping it ships! I am not really a handbag person, but this one excited me. It looks just gorgeous, and I love that the strap adjusts to be a shoulder bag or crossbody.

If there's anything you have questions about or would like to see pics of, I'll do my best!

Yay! So glad you were able to get one too! I was also surprised that there have been no comments on it so far, especially given that it sold out on Icons night. I'm an Ambassador and it was one of the few must-have items I had on my wishlist, and I was somewhat surprised to see it go out of stock that first night...though maybe I shouldn't have been.

As an aside...so awkward to see my username quoted. My daughter was a preschooler when I joined TPF and now she's 22...she'd be so embarrassed (and I guess I am a little embarrassed too!) to know that I'm on a forum where my username is "noellesmommy"! At the time I chose it, I never could've imagined I'd still be here all these years later.

I visited my store in Roseville today and it was pretty picked over. My husband overheard the amount of my return and made a FACE..... I was like I returned more than I kept.

While there I got a bra and matching panties. I wanted to get another sports bra but they didn't have my size in store. Going to order one more
I also got this All Saints tote. It has a zipper and it is squishy so I can stuff it under the seat on the airplane.

That bag is super cute. I was watching that for a pop-back but gave up. I looked while in the store and they only had the multi-colored version. It was cute however I don't trust myself with bags that are too light in color.

@nikki626 For whatever it's worth, I've had the best luck with pop-backs late afternoon/early evening (4:30-6:30 PM EDT).
I've also noticed Sundays are especially good.
